Triteia: Karen Willis Holmes pays tribute to the natural world with new collection

Karen Willis Holmes Triteia

Against a cliff’s edge in South Australia, we are introduced to Karen Willis Holmes‘ majestic new collection: Triteia.

Inspired by the mythological goddess of the sea and daughter of Triton, the collection is a tribute to the southern hemisphere’s magnificent shorelines. In the magic editorial, brides dance barefoot on sand dunes as the late sunshine sparkles on beaded sleeves and swooshy trains.

There are five new handcrafted gowns in total and longtime followers of Karen Willis Holmes are sure to recognise the classic, comfortable and stylish silhouettes on offer. But there are subtle details which pay homage to the natural world this season with scalloped edges, fluid shapes and iridescent tones reminiscent of the ocean’s lapping waves.

Together Journal’s favourite? The ‘Perry’ is a standout look courtesy of its statement shoulders, sheer beading and open back, beautifully finished with a sweet bow. While ‘Isabelle’ is just as flattering with slick straps, a swishy skirt and delicate waist belt.

For brides seeking something extra special, ‘Rosabell’ boasts intricate floral beading with a scooped back and elegant cap sleeves. Wear with your hair up to let the gown shine.

What’s more, this is a ready-to-wear line making Triteia one for eloping brides to consider. “After a year of uncertainty, women need something to look forward to,” creative director Karen Willis Holmes says. “Something to captivate, inspire and motivate them to push forward with dreaming up their wedding day, however different it may now look.”

“Triteia offers women that moment to be able to dream again and walk down the aisle unapologetically happy.”

Triteia will be available to purchase from July 2 in Karen Willis Holmes boutiques in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and New York alongside stockists in Australia and internationally.
