Katie + Jeff by Emily Klarer

I realized that each and every day I woke up next to Katie, I loved her more than every previous day.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…
KB: I am a veterinarian, loves her dogs & Russian tortoise, and sun and water (lakes, rivers, & oceans) and tequila.

JC: I am a property manager, loves moving through the mountains on skis, a bicycle, or my own two feet.

When did you first realise that this was someone you’d like to spend the rest of your life with?
KB: When our older dog was dying, needed emergency surgery (which Katie performed in northern Michigan) and our van broke down on the road trip back home to Colorado. It only brought us closer together.

JC: I realized that each and every day I woke up next to Katie, I loved her more than every previous day.

Was there a proposal? Tell us a little about it…
KB: With the help of friends, Jeff surprised me atop Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen with prayer flags, a bundle of lavender, and a baller ass ring (opal, her birthstone).

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood or style of your wedding…
We both wanted it to be easy, stress-free, fun, and adventurous.

What was one element you were happy to splurge on?
KB: Dinner at Al Camin in Cortina and my custom hat from Kemosabe in Aspen, CO.

Did anything happen on your wedding day that you laugh about in hindsight (even if it was stressful at the time)?
The mayor of Cortina buying us shots of Amaro montenegro after dinner!
