KELVIN + ROBBIE by Damien Milan

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…

We lived in Sydney and then moved to Tasmania together where Kelvin works in his family’s business and Robbie is working as a GP.

We have a shared love of food, our cats and travelling.

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details…

Our wedding had style of simple elegance with the venue doing most of the work being highlighted by the floral arrangements in the setting. One of our favourite parts was the pink fluorescent sign of our names in love heart at the end of the long singular table, all underneath the amazing rock wall downstairs in the museum.

Tell us about your main outfits.

We were aiming for more of a 60’s classic glamour and black tie affair. Both of us wore velvet jackets that were different colours to suit our own styles while having a bit of continuity along with designer pants and shirts.

What were some of the most memorable/unique moments from the day?

Without a doubt, the door sliding open and seeing all of our friends and family standing there as we walked down the aisle together to a string quartet playing XO. We won’t be forgetting our heart thumping in our chests any time soon.

Any advice for other couples planning to spend the rest of their lives together?

Our only advice would be to have fun together, but we might have more pointers after another decade or two.
