Tell us a little bit about yourself and your Bridal brand, Lilia Cass…
Designing for my own wedding 3 years ago, led me to meet other like-minded brides, also wanting chic, minimalistic wedding attire that could be worn beyond the wedding day. I started Lilia Cass Ceremonial in Sydney shortly after getting married and have since relocated to NZ this year. Thanks to launching this business during a pandemic, we have become predominantly based online and work with brides globally. LCC is about designs that are accessible to the everyday bride through easy wearing, non restrictive garment designs that complement a wide range of body types.
Our garments are for the modern bride looking for an effortless yet unconventional aesthetic, free of the fuss and restrictive tailoring found in the more traditional bridal wear. The fit of each garment is intentionally easy, perfect for the carefree bride looking to invest in garments that can be loved, re-imagined and re-worn beyond their wedding day. Our pieces are made to mix, match and layer, and seek to allow all our brides to speak for themselves, with timeless designs that truly come alive with the personality of the bride wearing them.
What inspires you and your designs?
We aim to create uncomplicated designs that never date, stripping back the fussy details and focusing on clean, functional pieces that are deliberate and un-pretentious. A key consideration behind many garments we design and make is re-wearability.
Tell us about your upcoming Pop-up and how brides can attend…
Rather than our usual 2-day trunk show, we will be taking over a store in Ponsonby Central for a full week! I will be in the store from 10am-4pm Monday the 20th – Sunday the 26th of February. Brides are welcome to simply pop in to browse the collection, or for those wanting a one-on-one fitting and measurements, please get in touch with us info@liliacass.com to book an appointment time. We will also have a sample rack, some new styles along with ex-photoshoot styles, and one-offs available to purchase in-store.
Do you have any exciting plans or new collections for Lilia Cass that you can share with us?
Yes! We have some new styles currently in the sampling process… these will be in store for sneak previews and pre-orders.
