We kept all our colours and florals in whites, creams, blacks, and shades of green.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…
We are both agents at WME (William Morris Endeavor) and live in Los Angeles, CA. We also both went to BU but missed each other by one year, so we didn’t meet until we started working together.
How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?
We met when Nicole was graduating from BU – she wanted to move to LA and get a job in the entertainment industry, but didn’t know anyone. She sent a cold LinkedIn message to Perry, who was currently working at her dream company – and he responded! The rest is history…

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood and style of your wedding. (theme, key styling elements, florals, colour palettes etc.).
We wanted our wedding to feel exactly like us in every choice and detail. We were hoping to achieve a style that was timeless but with big pops of our personalities coming through. We were intentional about thinking through every decision. Our amazing planner kept bringing us back to the idea of “the guest experience” and making sure that each choice would be fun, thoughtful, and great for our 200 guests.
What styling and visual elements worked best for you? (could be things, the florals, particular hire products or your marquee, etc., something the stylist created or simply just the scenic beauty of your location or the existing design of your venue).
Our venue felt like the perfect backdrop – the background of each space has beautiful 360 views of both the ocean and mountains in Santa Barbara, but also the hotel itself is super stylised. We wanted all to have their own moment and focus, and chose to style quite simply against it. We kept all our colours and florals in whites, creams, blacks, and shades of green. That is, until we got to the reception after dinner, which we wanted to feel like a lounge instead of a ballroom. Our guests were entering an indoor space for the first time all night, so we wanted it to feel like a separate and unique event. Our colour palette at that point in the night changed to varying shades of red and black. We had couches and loveseats instead of formal tables and disco balls everywhere.

What did you enjoy most about the planning process, and do you have any tips for couples starting their wedding planning journey?
The entire thing was honestly so fun! The best tip we could give is to relax and enjoy it – remember that it’s not that deep. It can feel stressful in the moment and with a lot of big decisions to be made, but in the grand scheme of life, it really is a very short and special time together that will fly by.
Tell us about your vendors. Were there any standout suppliers you would like to make special mention of?
The best vendor decision we made was to work with our amazing wedding planner, Kathryn. She made everything we were dreaming up come to life and did it so seamlessly.

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, and is there a story?
We loved both changing into second looks for the reception – it was super fun to come back into the party bringing a different energy and vibe. Perry found my second dress for me, and I fell in love with it the minute he showed it to me.
Tell us about your wedding and engagement rings.
Perry designed Nicole’s engagement ring—the proposal was a complete surprise, and he did an amazing job. We picked out our wedding bands together and both opted for smooth gold bands to signify a smooth marriage.

What were one or two elements that were most important to you both that you were happy to spend a little more on? (food, photography, florals, the venue, your outfits?).
Definitely our band!! We got so many compliments, and they kept the vibe up from the first song through the very last. Also, our incredible photographer, Dennis. The weekend truly flew by, and the photographs are what you will have and treasure forever, and we were thrilled with his work.
Was there a favourite moment (or two) that you will treasure always?
We had two wedding officiants – both of our moms’ best friends from their childhood. It was incredibly special to stand under the Chuppah with only each other and two women who are so special to us and have known us since we were born.
