Noelia + Adrian by Sandrine Philie

We met 7 years ago at a marketing event in Spain, and from the very first time, we knew that we were made to be together.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…

We are Noe & Adri a Spanish couple living in the NL for 6 years. We both love Amsterdam and its lifestyle, so for both of us, it was clear that we wanted to get married in the city. We have a French bulldog (Hollywood) whom we love so much, and we are passionate about travelling, and fashion, and we are coffee lovers.

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?

We met 7 years ago at a marketing event in Spain, and from the very first time, we knew that we were made to be together.

When did you first realise that this was someone you’d like to spend the rest of your life with?

From the moment we saw each other.

Was there a proposal? Tell us a little about it…

Yes, and it was the most special one. When Noe arrived from work one day, Hollywood was wearing a pink ribbon on her neck with a stunning gold-blue Sapphire ring (Noe’s fashion icon was always Princess Diana, and she was obsessed with her engagement ring). Hollywood was, of course, our ring bearer.

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood or style of your wedding.

As we both knew we wished to get married in Amsterdam, so did we know we wanted a very intimate ceremony with a vintage/ retro style. We agreed on the fact that we had to get married in a clasic salon boat through the beautiful Amsterdam canals. Noe was obsessed with the greenhouse concept for the dinner location and the blue tones for the whole wedding composition.

It was very smooth and easy to compile & achieve the whole concept, combining all the ideas thanks to our beloved wedding planner, as from the very first meeting, we connected 100%, and she understood our desires, making the whole wedding exceed our expectations. Thanks Ami for doing your magic, without you it would not have been possible.

What was one element you were happy to splurge on?

Without any doubt, our classic salon boat called Soeverein is the most stunning boat you will ever see cruising the Amsterdam canals. Without forgetting the stunning classic tram from 1929 that brought us to the restaurant while delighting our guests with a beautiful ride through the Amsterdam city centre.

Did anything happen on your wedding day that you laugh about in hindsight (even if it was stressful at the time)?

Maybe Ami, our wedding planer can jump into this one, but for us everything ran smooth and perfect, exceeding our expectations thanks to her amazing work and the rest of the providers, we were super lucky with all of them!

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, is there a story?

Noe always knew that when she would get married, she would make her wedding dress with Isabel Nuñez, a famous Spanish designer with an avant-garde/vintage style. Obsessed with the 80’s, shoulder pads & princess Diana, Noe had no doubts about the dress she wanted, and it represented her perfectly. The same with the shoes and the huge ribbon created specially for her by the designer.
