R.M.Williams has launched the next installment of their ongoing campaign, ‘For Life’s Journeys’. Celebrating the joy of travel, this collection follows a series of great adventures, set in rural locations across Australia.
Internationally renowned bootmaker, R.M. Williams, continues to bring a spirit of outback resilience to loyal followers across the globe in the form of handcrafted boots, accessories, and apparel. This year marks this iconic heritage brand’s 90th year and to celebrate its nine decades in the business, R.M. Williams pays homage to its origins and commitment to Australian quality manufacturing. This latest chapter tells the story of an off-grid road trip, where the brand’s iconic leather boots and hardwearing apparel styles are put to the test against the wild terrain of the Flinders Ranges and outback, South Australia.

A SOUTH AUSTRALIAN HOMECOMING
The campaign sees R.M.Williams return to the Flinders Ranges and outback, South Australia, the region from which the brand’s iconic leather boot originates. 90 years ago, a young Reginald Murray Williams was camping in these very foothills when he settled on the idea of a durable, elastic-sided boot, crafted from a single piece of leather. Capturing the energy of the Flinders Ranges, as well as the natural, undisturbed beauty of the region was a major focus of the campaign, with a multi-day shoot taking place in the picturesque Rawnsley Park.
It was a welcome homecoming for a proudly Australian owned-and-run business, still with firm roots in the state’s capital city of Adelaide.
READY TO GO THE DISTANCE
‘For the Explorers’ follows a back-to-basics road trip through rural South Australia, as a couple enjoys moments of quiet connection with each other and the great outdoors. As they explore new ground and make camp for an evening under the stars, their trusted R.M.Williams boots ground and support them with each step. Easy-to-layer apparel allows them to dress for the ever-changing temperatures of the Australian outback, whilst purposeful hats, bags and accessories make the journey an effortless one.
