Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…
Mitch is a construction Project Manager. Tania is an Account Manager in the adverstising industry. We love food, cooking together, dining out & travelling, being creative – weaving macrame, making furniture, pottery & gardening. We love doing everything together. Music is really important to us, curating our Wedding ceremony playlist was pretty tough. On the weekend you’ll find us dancing, either in our living room or on a DF.
Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details…
Mitch made the arbour from recycled timber, and Tania made the macrame that hung from the arbour. We were married on the Turkish rug from our living room. For our favours we learnt how to throw clay and made ceramic pinch pots for all of our guests. Each one was unique, we used different combinations of clay and glazes.
Tell us about your main outfits:
Tania bought her woodrose gown by Rue de Seine from the Bridal Atelier in Double Bay. She had a set of heels and a long veil to walk down the aisle. Halfway through the photos, she changed to tasseled boots and a short, beaded veil.
Mitch got his suit custom made from a tailor in the Strand Arcade. The jacket was a relaxed fit with patch pockets in bone and the trousers were a grey green with a cuff. The shoes were brown suede by Dune London. What were some of the most memorable/unique moments from the day?
Being surrounded by our closest family and friends while we exhanged our personal vows. Bumping noses before our first kiss!
Sipping a margharita, and eating a tostada while being serenaded by our mariarchi band. Climbing over a cow gate to reach a long grass paddock to capture some of the most beautiful photos.
Everyone cutting shapes on the dancefloor together.
Any advice for other couples planning to spend the rest of their lives together?
Be considerate of one another. Make time for each other and remember that nothing is more important than quality time together.
