Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…
Adrian & I both grew up in different towns & different styles of life. He grew up in the hustle & bustle of Auckland & I in the slow paced coastal town – Waipu.
The day we met was the day we were almost inseparable. Adrian is the clarity to my over thinking, & I, the funny bone to his old man grumps. Our humour is like long lost friends who have found each other from past lifetimes, we spend hours laughing at/with each other.
We are proud parents to Trigger our grumpy cat who we all think is a little strange & Gus – Our pug who enjoys short walks, long naps & going anywhere & everywhere with you as long as it’s in between your feet.
Owning an auto parts company. We enjoy motorsport together, we share passion for cars, Adrian loves building them I like driving them. Although his taste is not always on the same page as mine. There aren’t many girls that can spend a day in a garage and really enjoy it!
I spent a fair few months preparing flora for tables, bouquets & altar, along with seating charts, to wedding invites. My blood boils with anything creative! I couldn’t really pick a favourite thing.
Tell us about your main outfits:
I had a strong vision in mind & lost HOURS of sleep over it all coming together. To my pleasant surprise, My dream came true! I wanted a cut edge look, sharp fitted suits down to my much loved earth colours. My dress I found online 10 months prior – Ordered & hoped like hell I had that WOW moment for it being the only dress I ever tried on.
What were some of the most memorable/unique moments from the day?
Falling in love all over again seeing Adrian’s reaction to me walking down the aisle. (it’s my most valued moment in ANY wedding). It’s a testimonial to how much he cares for me. I don’t know how I managed to keep it together!
I wish I could have experienced “the most glamourous day of my life” a little longer. We were lucky enough to have a dry ceremony, but on our way to photos – The sky was giving us the biggest amount of luck on our wedding day possible. I am not a girl to let a little…. Or A LOT of rain ruin my day. Leaving my glamorous feels somewhere running down the cliff top & breaking the water tight seal of my train on the rocks, it was an experience I will never forget.
Any advice for other couples planning to spend the rest of their lives together?
