A serene coastal escape for unforgettable celebrations.
Set along the wild and windswept coastline of Western Australia, Salt Cove Bremer Bay offers a truly unique wedding experience where refined design meets raw natural beauty.
In this Q&A, we learn more and uncover the vision that brought Salt Cove to life, how they create meaningful celebrations in such a secluded location, and what makes Bremer Bay an unforgettable setting for couples seeking an immersive, nature-led celebration.
How would you describe the atmosphere and experience couples can expect when they celebrate at Salt Cove?
A salty breeze, golden-hour waves, a secluded coastal paradise spread across 100 acres of pristine private shoreline. Salt Cove blends raw natural beauty with thoughtful event design and effortless coastal elegance. It’s truly an immersive coastal escape and there’s something undeniably magical about weddings at Salt Cove. It’s raw, serene and utterly magnetic.

What makes Bremer Bay such a special and unforgettable setting for a destination wedding?
Bremer Bay offers a rare combination of untouched natural beauty, coastal drama and intimate seclusion. Bremer Bay’s charm lies in it’s authenticity. It’s not overly polished or commercial, it’s raw, real and deeply romantic. The natural surrounds do most of the work, allowing couples to focus on meaningful connection rather than over-staging.
Bremer Bay and the nearby Bremer Canyon form one of Australia’s most extraordinary marine hotspots, teeming with a wild and very active sea life, from Killer Whales to Blue Whales, Dolphins to Leafy Sea Dragons, Sea Lions to Southern Right and Humpback Whales, it’s an ocean lovers delight and a hive of activity over Summer and Autumn for your guests to enjoy.

Can you tell us about the vision behind creating a venue that feels so seamlessly woven into the natural landscape?
With a deep love for Bremer Bay and this coastline, we wanted to tread gently on this special parcel of land. We wanted guests to feel immersed in nature, to be totally enveloped by the peninsula. The site for the main event lawn was found via google earth, a natural clearing that already existed; that spoke to us deeply. With sweeping views of Point Gordon, the distant Doubtful Islands and the silhouette of Mount Barren, it’s a breathtaking natural backdrop that feels destined for love stories.
How does the surrounding environment influence the way couples style and celebrate their weddings at Salt Cove?
The landscape becomes the backdrop, and often the main decor! Coastal weddings lean into organic textures and tones, sun-washed colours, native grasses, corals and clamshells. This results in a relaxed, effortless elegance, that complements the surroundings.
The visual appeal and wild coastal landscape also means we are attracting couples who want a less-is-more style, choosing minimalism over unnecessary details, letting the incredible vistas shine.

How do you see the appeal of destination weddings evolving, particularly in remote and untouched locations like yours?
I think couples are prioritising experience-driven celebrations over traditional large scale events. Remote destinations like Bremer Bay offer the chance to create a deeply personal, unplugged experience, a private and secluded location shared only with your guest list, in a breath-taking setting. This is what it’s all about. Destination weddings also often span several days, turning the event into a mini holiday for your guests. It’s a truly immersive experience. Bremer Bay’s secluded charm and natural beauty make it a rising star in the destination wedding world.
What are some of the most memorable or creative ways couples have made the space their own?
We love a good ‘hero’ piece. We’ve had a three-tier fountain transported in; an entire boat filled with ice and drinks; a bougainvillea-lined marquee ceiling; some incredible curated grazing tables; and some epic entertainment headlining.

How do you support couples and their vendors to create a seamless and thoughtful celebration in such a secluded location?
With 8 years in the industry and covering weddings from such a vast array of locations and styles, we have an expansive knowledge of the region and all it has to offer. With this background, creating a destination wedding venue that has been purposefully designed with weddings in mind, has seen Salt Cove’s popularity rise quickly. From the movement of guests from their arrival to ceremony to reception, to on-site photo opportunity locations, the standard of upkeep on the marquee lawn and surrounds, local vendors, and accommodation options have all been considered. Our couples are supported in planning their wedding in Bremer Bay through vendor recommendations, budget spreadsheets, and scaffolding tools, like our guide, “How to Plan Your Wedding in Bremer Bay”. All of this makes booking a wedding here an enjoyable and seamless experience.

What facilities or amenities are available on-site to support a smooth event from start to finish?
Salt Cove is completely off-grid. This is what makes its location so special. It also means the level of support and service we provide is very involved, as we understand that to build a wedding from the ground up, takes a lot.
How do you see Salt Cove evolving in the years ahead, and are there any new offerings or developments on the horizon?
With 100 acres on offer, I just see the site opportunities as endless. Every year, we are adding more on-site photo locations, meandering paths, and adding to the event lawn with tiers, stairs and platforms. There is an old house on site that we would love to rescue eventually and have as an option for bridal parties.
