It was our first time seeing each other after being long-distance when I got those crazy butterflies in my stomach and understood I would never be able to be without him.

I think we knew pretty early on that it was something special but after we moved to a new town together and lived with each other for the first time, it really sealed the deal
From the day we started dating, we became best friends. Like a hand in a glove, our personalities mesh well together. Or as our friends would say – he is the calm to my chaos.
We had a very small and untraditional wedding. To be honest we didn’t know what we wanted so we started by each choosing 2 none negotiables and went from there.
The wedding style I wanted was timeless, classic, and romantic. I wanted a design that looked effortless and unlike a traditional wedding.
In the beginning, our relationship was a case of right person, wrong time. At 21 and 22 respectively, we both had a lot of growing up to do and ended up parting ways.
Steph and I both wanted timeless, classic elegance balanced with a contemporary chic style for our wedding and we were in luck when the perfect venue in Adelaide was available on the date of our anniversary.
I wanted the big white wedding, but wanted to have it on my family’s property, by the river and surrounded by the vines.
We’re both real estate agents. We live on the coast in NSW where we spend as much time as possible in the ocean.
Nick always has a way of knowing things way before I do. He told me pretty early on that he would marry me – and like most things – he was right.
Like many modern-day fairy tales, ours started in the virtual world. When we first met, we didn’t know it at the time, but we lived within a stone’s throw from each other.
For our first date Hen dragged me away from the library and took me for a flight around Dunedin and the Otago coast in a Cesna followed by lunch. It set the bar pretty high!
