The day turned out exactly as we had envisioned – from gelato to dancing to the tunes from ‘White Lotus.’

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…

I am an Opera singer. I’ve been involved in music since childhood, I’ve been singing all my conscious life. I recently graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and am actively auditioning and looking for work in European opera theatres. Nikita is an investment banker.

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?

We met on Tinder, and I was the first person Nikita decided to meet in person. Our first date happened after my rehearsal near the conservatory, and we headed to “Friends Forever Company.” Our first date was interesting and fun, although there wasn’t love at first sight. After the date, Nikita drove me to my friend. She started asking questions, and I told her, “Well, maybe we won’t see each other again”, but for some reason, we did continue to see each other. Nikita left an impression with his lightness and sense of humour, and we discovered we had a lot in common. I remember how he always opened doors and offered to help me with heavy sheet music. His upbringing and openness stood out to me.

When did you first realise that this was someone you’d like to spend the rest of your life with?

We realised that we wanted to tie our lives together quite quickly. I realised that this man was mine because I felt 100% comfortable around him. For me, the most important thing in a relationship is not to change anything in a partner, to give him full freedom, to trust him as much as possible, and not to forbid anything. Nikita was exactly that man. I have never met such a man like Nikita, I immediately realised that he is MY man. The most important thing is that we always have fun, and we almost never argue.

Was there a proposal? Tell us a little about it…

The proposal was made in Paris, on the banks of the Seine. It was the desirable picture I had always dreamed of. After a long day’s drive, we took a walk to the tower and waited for it to light up. He surprised me with a proposal, and my reaction was a bit weird. I was so surprised that I started laughing and asking how he came up with everything. Everything, including the ring, size, and location, was exactly what I wanted. I couldn’t believe that someone not from the movies was capable of such a romantic gesture.

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood or style of your wedding.

We wanted our wedding to be more than just a ceremony; we aimed to transform it into the liveliest and most enjoyable Italian-themed party in Moscow. Our focus was on celebrating love without sentimental speeches and tears, minimizing toasts but maximizing dance! The day turned out exactly as we had envisioned – from gelato to dancing to the tunes from ‘White Lotus.’ I personally curated the soundtracks, selecting them from our favourite TV shows.

Did anything happen on your wedding day that you laugh about in hindsight (even if it was stressful at the time)?

Everything made this day unique. First and foremost, the people dear to us. All our dreams became a reality. The weather. The team. The venue. The food. Truly, everything! There were no anxieties, only pleasant anticipation and a desire to pause in the moment. To remember this joyful moment!

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, is there a story?

I always wanted my dresses to be voluminous, and during the process, I just realized that a pink dress would be perfect. A dear-to-my-heart seamstress made the dress for me; she has been sewing concert dresses for me since I was a child in my mom’s atelier in the city of Anapa.
