Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship:
We met in Ibiza 2013. We were both travelling and living in Spain for 6 months. Taylor was 19 and Carl was 24. We were room mates and best friends who lived together and love blossomed form there.
We knew from the moment we had our first kiss that we were going to be forever. Technically we have lived together form the day we met and we wouldn’t change a thing.
Carl is from Essex England and Taylor is from Scotland. We have lived in Australia for 6 years and it is our home.
Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details:
After having our wedding in Greece, Mykonos cancelled twice. We decided to elope just us two in Australia, our home.
We are not very traditional people and a small intimate wedding had always appealed to us. Even our wedding in Greece was going to be very modern with minimal guests, when that was taken away from us we decided to make it modern, casual and Minimal but an elopment (just us no guests) We wore outfits we were comfortable in. I wore a sample dress from Alex perry and Carl ditched the bow tie for a T-shirt. We made it about us and feeling as comfortable as possible.
What were some of the most memorable/unique moments from the day:
We didn’t have any traditions, we woke up together, got ready together, got picked up in a vintage car and drank champagne in the back seats. We had margaritas and then walked to our ceremony location. We wrote our own vows and said them at sunset on top of a hill at Cabarita beach. It was so so special and I honestly wouldn’t change a thing.
Any advice for other couples planning to spend the rest of their lives together:
If you want to be married to the person you love. Forget the stresses of a “wedding”. Write your own vows, ditch any traditions you don’t feel comfortable with and enjoy every single second. In the end all you need is love and your day will be perfect.
