Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…
T – 2 years ago we moved to my hometown of Miles to take over my parents’ Motel. We live and work together along with our baby princess Molly the Motel Dog. We love country music, having a beer, and a laugh.

When did you first realise that this was someone you’d like to spend the rest of your life with?
The first time he met a group of my friends and sister we went to Meringandan pub, Alex got blind and he sung (screamed) karaoke on the jukebox for hours with Monkey and I could not stop laughing. He was having the absolute best time and I thought, yeah I’m good with this.

I also don’t think I will ever get him screaming the lyrics to ‘Am I ever Gonna See Your Face Again’ out of my head….

Was there a proposal? Tell us a little about it…
It was our 3 year anniversary, we were on holidays on Daydream island. It was very windy all week, we’d go down every afternoon to Lovers Cove to watch the sunset.

I line up these two beanbags front and centre on the beach while Alex went and got us a drink. They didn’t have what I wanted so he calls me over. While I was at the bar the beanbags get stolen. Alex suggests we go up the other end of the beach, I was not impressed with walking up there but up we went. Sitting up there I take a photo for my insta, Alex is chatting away at me. I notice at the other end of the beach there’s like this beautiful marquee set up where another couple had just gotten engaged, so I go ‘oh just for future reference you can just ask the hotel receptions to organise stuff like that’ he just responds with ‘uh okay cool.’ I’m just scrolling away on my phone and he goes ‘so when are we getting married?’ I respond without even looking up from my phone ‘whenever you pull your finger out.’ Alex replied ‘Well what about now?’ I whip my head around and he’s pulling a ring box out of his pocket, I just start laughing. After I said yes the headache he had been complaining about all week suddenly disappeared. But…. In my defence, he always said he wouldn’t propose until he got his braces off and I was not expecting him to pull it off without surprising me.

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood or style of your wedding…
I wanted it to be a reflection of us!!! Fun, loud, bright and something that you’ll remember. I kind of picked some colours. All our amazing Vendors just kinda went with it. I had no idea what to expect I just knew they were the professional and it turned out better than we could ever imagine.

What was one element you were happy to splurge on?
Styling and Coordination. I am way too busy to be focusing on all the small stuff. Danielle is an absolute superstar and her team go above and beyond to create your vision. Even if you send non cohesive photos with ranty emails she gets it sorted.

Did anything happen on your wedding day that you laugh about in hindsight (even if it was stressful at the time)?
After the Ceremony, Alex’s white jacket had makeup alllllll over it from all the hugs. Our friend ran into the house and into my emergency kit and found a stain remover wipe and you couldn’t even tell. Oh, my dress straps broke, pinned them back on. Right before the first dance, it went again so I ripped all of them off and went strapless haha. Also Molly (our dog) threw up in the middle of the aisle trying to get to Alex.
