The Facialist sought after Facial in a Box makes a limited, seasonal return and we got to try it!
When this delightful little curated box of skincare turned up at our office we were so impressed. Everything felt so thoughtful and was put together in such a beautiful and intentional way.
The purpose of the box – in the words of The Facialist is to…
Give your post-summer skin the treat it deserves. After a season of sun, salt, and chlorine hit refresh with a deep cleanse, exfoliant, and a nourishing facial treatment loaded with antioxidants. Reveal a brighter, more radiant complexion.Â
After many weeks of beach time our editor Greta was in a perfect position to test this collection and truly put it to the test.
Greta – our Editor: My skin felt nourished and hydrated after each at-home facial (I have done two now and still have enough products for another two). I also loved the process and the easy to follow steps, it was a truly lovely experience. It would be a fun thing for maids and brides to do at a hen’s getaway, or to prep your skin in advance of your wedding.
The Facialist: It’s salon standard, with enough product for at least three facial treatments, customised to nurture your skin through the change of season. All products in your facial box are the products we use in-salon for our facials, so you’re getting a truly powerful treatment for your skin.Â
We agree! The portions are generous and they all feel very luxurious. The other thing we noticed and enjoyed was the beautiful delicate fragrance of each product. Not to mention the visual aesthetic, sometimes it’s nice to go back to a simple pared-back aesthetic without loud branding, the collection looked just as soft and gentle as it felt on the skin. And another bonus; we will be reusing these lovely glass vessels to hold products when we travel in the future.
There is no denying it’s stressful out there with so many of us sick and/or isolated and the rest being extra cautious and trying to stay well. There really is no better time to ‘bring it in-house’. We recommend listening to the advice of the Facialist below; do light those candles and play the playlist so you get the full salon experience at home.
The Facialist: Skincare is Self-care: We’ve put together this customised facial box so you can turn your bathroom into a haven of your own. Make deliberate space to come back to yourself. Light a candle, brew a delicious herbal tea and flick on our specially curated Spotify playlist.
