TIFFANI + DAN by Wolf & Wildflower Photography

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…

I (Tiff) own and operate a recovery clinic. I am a remedial therapist and yoga enthusiast. Daniel is a Diesel mechanic (and adrenaline junkie). We both parent 2 beautiful little souls. Maya, 6 and Nash 4. We love the ocean, sandy feet and salty skin.

Full bellies and warm hearts. Outdoor showers, long slow bike rides. Caravanning in our renovated 65 Viscount (which was my wedding present). We love family motorbike rides on our family farm on the mid-north coast of NSW. We are a team, the 4 of us (well 5, we also have a crazy American Staffy, Sassi-dog). We are so different, yet we are the exact same. I burn sage, he burns rubber, and it works.

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details…

We had a smallish, intimate wedding (80 people including us and our kids) The theme for our day was classic romantic. I tied the colours of the sunset on the water in, so there was pastel blue (Maya’s dress, orchids in the bouquets and arbour, my Mimco earrings and bridesmaids Mimco
earrings) soft peach/orange (bouquets) and light pastel pink (bouquets). I chose gold Tiffany chairs (duh) for the reception and ceremony. We had the most perfect weather and the sunset was picture perfect. We had long tables at our ceremony so that it felt like a big mad hatters tea party (our dinner table every night).

We had high gold table centrepieces with lots of greenery and colours from our bouquets, scented candles of indigo and lavender down the tables and around the room. Our guests had a candle (indigo lavender) to take home as their gifts. I find a scent can take you back to a particular moment in time, that was the idea behind this. We pulled the big half-moon arbour into the reception which made the perfect backdrop for the dance floor and for our guests to take photos under. We had big glass doors pulled wide open, the water to the harbour was literally just meters away! We had a duet to start, they were absolutely amazing. And my dad dedicated a song to us which he played on the piano as the sun was setting behind him (absolute dream) We borrowed our daughters Polaroid camera for the night, I am SO glad we did. The guests took a selfie and stuck it in our guest book. We have some hilarious pics in there!

We had high tables and candles around the alfresco area, we had the doors open most of the night (we had to shut them once the dj started) so It really felt like we were dining outdoors next to the harbour. I ensured all our guests had a selection of our favourite cocktails, French martinis, espresso martini’s and cosmopolitans (the bridal party still can’t look at another cosmo).

Tell us about your main outfits:

My dress was from Made With Love Bridal. I had an idea of what I wanted, as soon as I tried that dress on I knew it was my perfect dress. I had a reception dress and I didn’t want to change! I dressed it in a cathedral length veil for the ceremony (which my Aunty tripped on as I was walking down the aisle) Daniel went for an ivory custom made jacket and black suit pants from Rundle tailoring. They were fabulous to deal with!

Maya wore a pastel blue dress (she was my “something blue”) from doll cake. The train on her dress was nearly as long as mine (not literally, but hey it was long for a little girl). Nash wore a white button up shirt, with black slacks and a black bow tie to match daddy. (I can’t remember where I got his little outfit from). I wanted to keep the look timeless and classic, so I put the girls (bridesmaids) in a white dress from Bec and bridge with a split up the left leg (just to keep it a little saucy). The groomsmen looked so handsome in matching suits from Rundle tailoring.

What were some of the most memorable/unique moments from the day?

Well, 1. Waking up to a ship at 7am (hoooooonnnnk!) (Rydges is on the Newcastle Port – lots of industrial ships). Getting ready with the girls the morning of, Nash bouncing up and down at the end of the aisle waiting for me next to Daniel “muummmm!!!”. Our vows. Our vows were so so beautiful, our ceremony was bursting with love. The photos between the ceremony and reception, they were so much fun! Oh, the burn of the patron shot we did before walking into the reception (we walked into “drunk in love” – Beyoncé, so we kinda had to do a shot) We sat down for a couple of minutes during the night, and just looked around the room. Everyone
was smiling, everyone was so so happy, and it was because of us. Our love had brought everyone together, and everyone was so happy to be celebrating it. It wouldn’t be an Aussie wedding without a shoey… would it? The day went so fast. I wish we could relive it, in slow motion, once a year, every year.

Any advice for other couples planning to spend the rest of their lives together?

I’m sure we will have more advise when we are old and arguing over the denture paste, but until then – when you know, you know. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Support each other, you are both growing and evolving. Fun fact: Daniel and I dated when we were 16, and the universe brought us back together 7 years later! He always said he would marry me. Smartypants.
