A sweet juxtaposition of soft, romantic bridal gowns by Natalie Chan, with the raw jagged moss covered rocks and strong winds gusting at the rugged west coast New Zealand beach, Maori Bay. The skies were moody and the dark black sands gave gorgeous contrast to the fresh white flowing dresses and wild earthy bouquet. There is something that draws you to the earth there, a spiritual connection to the earth that made us feel grounded yet the land almost felt āother worldlyā and intimidating in its own beauty.
With towering cliffs and crashing waves, a place that takes your breath away and leaves a bride feeling empowered and at the same time, beautifully vulnerable.
This styled shoot was more than just coming together to simply create images. It was for us, about making connections and coming together creatively though we had never met in real life prior to that day. Appreciating and respecting each others inventiveness and ideas through social media, then having the courage to reach out and make visual magic happen, and personal growth too.
Working collaboratively and not competitively; just a bunch of women supporting other women in their creative endeavours. Bree looks strong in her powerful femininity and we wanted to celebrate that along with the new bonds formed through our shared passions.
