Deadly Ponies launches SS21 collection

deadly ponies spring summer 2021 collection drop one

Deadly Ponies has unveiled drop one of its new spring/summer 21 collection and it’s a glorious exploration of new materials, textures and silhouettes.

In 1935, design visionary Charlotte Perriand created House for a Young Man, a beautiful depiction of what was considered an ideal studio space during that time. Deadly Ponies’ SS21 collection pays homage to the terracotta tiles, rush chairs and modernist art famously featured with its roots in a rich colour palette.

“I look to Charlotte Perriand as a muse. She was a pioneer in the industry and a creative female voice during a time when there were few opportunities, with a really unique style,” says creative director Liam Bowden. “She would always be seen wearing a stainless steel necklace, as if she was wearing pearls with a really strong, masculine or modern edge.”

For part one of the collection launch, prairie hues of moss, thyme and cornflower signal the arrival of spring. The anticipation of sunshine and balmy afternoons in the garden is mirrored by the introduction of new shapes, textures and materials – such as superfine, buttery leather.

Of course, longtime Deadly Ponies fans will also be thrilled to see some of the brand’s most beloved pieces return.

While we can’t venture far, Deadly Ponies’ SS21 line highlights the beauty, joy and colour that can be found in everyday moments. The collection will launch at the beginning of August 2021 in three instalments.
