Weronika + Kacper by DOART Photography

We dreamed of a colourful celebration surrounded by nature, where nothing felt too polished or forced.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…

We met in high school and have been side by side ever since. We went to medical school together, graduated, and are now both doctors. Throughout the years, we’ve shared many experiences, but one of the most special was getting engaged during one of our travels to Portugal. We love exploring new places and cultures, and travelling has always been an important part of our relationship. But no matter how far we go, our favourite place is still home, especially when we’re relaxing together in our little cabin with our dog, Lilo. She’s a Lagotto Romagnolo, full of energy and love. Kacper enjoys skiing in the winter and playing volleyball whenever he gets the chance. Weronika prefers snowboarding and has been passionate about kitesurfing for many years. We both enjoy trying new things, especially if it means we can do them together. What we value most is simply spending time with each other, whether we’re out on an adventure or just making coffee and watching a movie at home. We feel lucky to share not only a life, but a deep friendship and a lot of laughter every day.

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?

We met on the very first day of high school. I walked up to Kacper to ask if he knew anyone giving tutoring in biology, and, as I found out much later, he was convinced I was trying to flirt with him! At the time, I had no idea he’d misread my question so completely. At first, we were just classmates, but as time went on, especially during school trips, we started getting to know each other better. Long bus rides, group projects, and late-night conversations slowly brought us closer. We discovered how much we had in common, how easily we made each other laugh, and how natural it felt to spend time together. What started as a simple question turned into a strong friendship, and eventually, love. Looking back, it’s funny how such a small moment changed everything for us. Now, years later, we’ve built a life full of shared memories, adventures, and dreams. And we still laugh about that first conversation!

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood and style of your wedding. (theme, key styling elements, florals, colour palettes etc.).

Our vision for the wedding was simple: we wanted it to feel natural, relaxed, and full of warmth. We dreamed of a colourful celebration surrounded by nature, where nothing felt too polished or forced. The flowers on the tables were meant to look like they had just been picked from a wild meadow – loose, vibrant, and a little bit wild. When it came to outfits, we imagined soft, colourful tones and styles that fit into that dreamy, countryside-Italian mood – but more than anything, we wanted everyone to feel like themselves. There was no strict dress code, just a shared feeling of lightness and joy. We didn’t want to overdecorate, because the masseria itself, with its rustic charm and surrounding nature, was already more beautiful than anything we could add. We focused on keeping everything meaningful, simple, and full of heart. Our goal was to create an atmosphere that felt like an evening in a friend’s garden – easy, intimate, and unforgettable.

What styling and visual elements worked best for you? (could be things, the florals, particular hire products or your marquee, etc., something the stylist created or simply just the scenic beauty of your location or the existing design of your venue).

One of the most impactful styling elements for us was the natural beauty of the surroundings. The lush greenery and the raw, textured stone walls of the masseria created an atmosphere that felt both timeless and effortlessly elegant. We wanted to embrace and highlight the authenticity of the venue, rather than overpower it, and we feel that approach worked beautifully. The floral arrangements in the ceremony space and on the tables played a key role in enhancing the setting without distracting from it. They were done in a very natural, organic style. The flowers complemented the environment instead of competing with it, which made the whole scene feel cohesive. We didn’t rely heavily on elaborate decor or hire products; instead, the venue itself became the focal point. The simplicity of the styling allowed the charm of the location to shine through. It was exactly what we had hoped for – a setting that felt romantic and intimate, while staying true to the rustic elegance of the masseria.

What did you enjoy most about the planning process, and do you have any tips for couples starting their wedding planning journey?

We started planning almost two years in advance, so we had the luxury of time, and we truly enjoyed every stage of the process. It became a beautiful shared project that allowed us to spend quality time together and make meaningful decisions as a couple. One of our favourite parts of the journey was a trip to Puglia to find our dream venue. We went with our mums and sisters, and it turned into an unforgettable trip full of laughter and excitement. As for advice to other couples, the most important, in our opinion, is to plan a wedding that genuinely reflects who you are. Don’t try to meet everyone else’s expectations, just follow your heart. We chose a smaller, more intimate celebration surrounded by our closest friends and family, and we wouldn’t change a thing. Every moment felt meaningful, and we could truly be ourselves throughout the day. That authenticity made it all the more special. So trust your instincts, enjoy the process, and don’t be afraid to create a day that feels right for you.

Tell us about your vendors. Were there any standout suppliers you would like to make special mention of?

All of our vendors were absolutely wonderful, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found such a kind, talented group of people, especially since we planned everything ourselves without any prior recommendations or knowing anyone who had gotten married at our venue before. Each supplier played a part in making our day so special, and we’re truly grateful for the effort, passion, and professionalism they brought to the experience. That said, we have to give a very special mention to our photographer, Dorina. She completely stole our hearts. Her ability to capture the most beautiful, emotional, and spontaneous moments of the day was simply incredible. Looking through our photos, we’re transported back to every laugh, every tear, and every quiet, magical second, all documented in a style that felt so effortlessly us. Her work is not only technically stunning but also deeply heartfelt and intimate. We couldn’t have chosen better.

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, and is there a story?

My main wedding dress was incredibly special to me; it originally belonged to my mum. I had always loved its timeless elegance, and when I tried it on, it just felt right. We made a few delicate alterations to modernise the fit slightly, but I wanted to keep the essence of the dress exactly as it was. It felt so meaningful to walk down the aisle in something that carried so much family history and love. My veil was a new piece that I found at a bridal salon in Białystok, which added a soft, romantic touch to the look. For the shoes, I chose two pairs from the Polish brand Kazar Studio – stylish, comfortable, and perfect for both ceremony and dancing. Later in the evening, I changed into a second dress from Stolen Studios – something a bit more playful and fun for the party. Kacper’s outfit also had a story behind it. His suit was tailored during a trip to Vietnam, which made it not only unique but also full of personal memories. He paired it with classic Marni shoes, which completed his elegant yet modern look. Altogether, our outfits felt very “us” – personal, meaningful, and stylish.

Tell us about your wedding and engagement rings.

Our wedding rings were custom-made in Białystok by RS Jubiler, and we couldn’t be happier with how personal and unique they turned out. We wanted something truly different, so we designed irregular, organic-shaped bands – unlike anything we had seen before. What made them even more meaningful was that we melted down gold inherited from our grandmothers, giving new life to something with deep emotional value. My (Weronika’s) ring is made from polished yellow gold and features a teardrop-shaped diamond, subtly set into the flowing, sculptural form. It’s elegant, soft, and just a little unexpected – exactly what I dreamed of. Kacper’s ring mirrors the same shape but is crafted from matte white gold, with a thicker and more solid look that still complements mine perfectly.

What were one or two elements that were most important to you both that you were happy to spend a little more on? (food, photography, florals, the venue, your outfits?).

Two elements that were especially important to us, and where we were happy to spend a bit more, were our outfits and the food. We both love fashion and care a lot about design and detail, so choosing outfits that felt personal, stylish, and high quality was a big part of the experience. It wasn’t just about looking good – it was about feeling like ourselves in the most special way. Food was equally important. We love good food and knew from the start that we wanted our guests to enjoy a delicious, memorable meal. It was something we were genuinely excited about, and seeing everyone happy and satisfied during the reception made it more than worth it. Photography was also a non-negotiable for us. After seeing Dorina’s work online, we immediately felt that her style matched what we envisioned – honest, emotional, and beautifully artistic. It was one of the easiest and best decisions we made.

Was there a favourite moment (or two) that you will treasure always?

One of the most unforgettable moments for us was reading our personal vows during the ceremony. We had written them ourselves, and it felt incredibly emotional and intimate, like a moment just for the two of us, even though we were surrounded by our loved ones. Saying those words out loud, looking into each other’s eyes, and truly meaning every sentence is something we’ll always treasure. It was raw, honest, and full of love, the heart of the whole day. Another moment that stands out was when we entered the reception area for dinner. All of our guests were already seated, and the upbeat version of the song “Sarà perché ti amo” was playing. As we walked in, everyone stood up and started waving their napkins in the air, cheering and clapping. It was so joyful and full of energy that we couldn’t stop smiling. That moment made us feel so loved and celebrated, and it set the tone for the rest of the evening. These two moments, one deeply emotional and the other full of joy, perfectly captured the balance of the day: heartfelt and fun, just like we had dreamed.
