We wanted our wedding to feel timeless, intimate, and reflective of the city where our story began.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…
At our core, we deeply value connection — with each other, our families, and the community we’ve built in Charlotte. Our faith is the foundation of our relationship, and we feel so grateful for the way God has guided our story and surrounded us with supportive family, friends, and church.
Life is full of work and everyday responsibilities, but we always make space for what matters most. We love slow mornings over coffee, exploring new restaurants, or cooking dinner at home. Some of our favourite evenings are simple — ordering takeout and ending the day with a walk outside.
Charlotte holds a special place in our story. It’s where we met, where our relationship grew, and where we’ve built a life together. As we begin this next chapter, we’re excited to create a home that brings together the people we love. Our wedding reflected that: a celebration of faith, community, and the life we’re building together.
How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?
We met on November 16, 2022, on a night that felt ordinary at the time. I had just finished a Friendsgiving dinner and went out afterwards with friends to a small Charlotte bar. One of my friends, who also worked with Anthony, invited him and his friends to join us — and that’s how we were introduced.
What started as a casual introduction quickly turned into a night full of laughter and easy conversation. We joked, shared stories, and laughed more than we expected. There was a natural rhythm to the way we talked — the kind of connection where time disappears, and you just enjoy being with someone.
My first impression of Anthony was how warm and genuine he was. His calm confidence and easygoing energy made everyone around him feel at ease. Later, he told me he was drawn to my relaxed personality and how effortlessly our conversation flowed. From that first moment, it felt natural — meeting someone who could be both a friend and a partner. Looking back, it’s funny how a spontaneous night with friends in a small bar became the beginning of our story.

What styling and visual elements worked best for you? (could be things, the florals, particular hire products or your marquee, etc., something the stylist created or simply just the scenic beauty of your location or the existing design of your venue).
We wanted our wedding to feel timeless, intimate, and reflective of the city where our story began. Our courthouse ceremony in downtown Charlotte offered a sense of simplicity and authenticity that we loved.
Afterwards, we celebrated with our closest friends and family at Angeline’s. The dinner reception was simple and warm, with table florals from Mint Hill Flower Market adding a soft, romantic touch. Everything felt balanced and effortless — the city backdrop, understated ceremony, and intimate dinner created a modern yet classic aesthetic that was perfectly “us.”
One of our favourite parts of the day was how seamlessly everything came together. It never felt staged — just thoughtful, elegant, and full of meaning.
What did you enjoy most about the planning process, and do you have any tips for couples starting their wedding planning journey?
We loved how intentional the planning process made us about the kind of celebration we wanted. Rather than focusing on size or extravagance, we focused on creating a meaningful day. Choosing a courthouse ceremony and intimate dinner allowed us to concentrate on the details that mattered most — the people, the atmosphere, and the experience we wanted our guests to have.
Our advice to couples is simple: focus on what truly reflects you. Avoid pressure to follow expectations or traditions. The most memorable weddings are authentic. Keeping things simple — prioritising photography, a meaningful setting, and a shared meal — can make the day feel personal, joyful, and relaxed. Planning became part of the experience itself, allowing us to create something that genuinely felt like our story.

Tell us about your vendors. Were there any standout suppliers you would like to make special mention of?
We feel incredibly lucky to have worked with talented vendors who made the day feel effortless.
Our photographer, Dylan Kale, captured moments naturally and authentically. His documentary-style approach, paired with Super 8 film, added a nostalgic, timeless quality. For hair and makeup, Kate Holovatyi and Nataliya Shykal created a calm, fun morning and polished, natural looks.
Florals from Mint Hill Flower Market were romantic and perfectly suited to the intimate atmosphere. Every vendor allowed us to relax and enjoy the day, knowing everything was in great hands.
Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, and is there a story?
Choosing our wedding outfits was deeply personal.
My dress was a bespoke Roma iteration from Maelle Bride, pairing sculptural tailoring with a custom lace bodysuit that floated through the neckline and sleeves. From the start, I wanted something timeless and elegant while still feeling uniquely mine. Working with Linda and the Maelle team allowed me to create a look that was classic, romantic, and effortless. Seeing it come together that morning made the day feel real in the best possible way.
Anthony wore a tuxedo from Bruce Julian Clothier, refined and timeless, with mother-of-pearl cufflinks and buttons adding an elegant touch. Together, our outfits complemented each other beautifully without feeling overly coordinated. Seeing each other fully dressed for the first time was a quiet, unforgettable moment.

Tell us about your wedding and engagement rings.
Our rings were meant to feel timeless, meaningful, and distinctly “us.”
My engagement ring is a round-cut three-stone design, paired with a simple diamond wedding band. The trilogy symbolises God at the centre of our marriage and the guidance, love, and faithfulness we hope to carry forward. Anthony’s wedding band is a classic “grandpa gold” ring — simple, enduring, and full of character. Together, they feel perfectly balanced, just like us.
We chose our rings from Diamonds Direct, drawn to designs that would remain elegant and timeless. Every glance reminds us of our vows, our faith, and the joy of beginning this chapter surrounded by loved ones.
What were one or two elements that were most important to you both that you were happy to spend a little more on? (food, photography, florals, the venue, your outfits?).
Photography was at the top of our list. We wanted to relive the day through images that captured how it felt, not just how it looked. Choosing a photographer whose style felt authentic and emotional was essential.
The guest experience was another priority. Our reception at Angeline’s created a warm, intimate atmosphere where everyone could relax, enjoy incredible food, and celebrate together. By focusing on photography, setting, and a shared meal, the day felt personal, joyful, and reflective of our story.

Was there a favourite moment (or two) that you will treasure always?
Seeing each other that morning for the first time was incredibly special — a quiet, intimate moment that made everything feel real. Later, running around the city for photos felt playful and full of joy, capturing the excitement of starting our life together.
Our most treasured memory was sharing our first meal as husband and wife with our closest friends and family. Surrounded by the people who mean the most to us, the room was alive with laughter, love, and warmth. From quiet, emotional moments to joyful celebrations, these memories perfectly reflect our day, our love, and the community around us.
What does being married mean to you, and are there any special rituals you have that you would like to share?
Marriage is a partnership at its truest. It’s seeing each other fully — strengths, flaws, best days, and worst days — and choosing one another anyway. To be known and still loved is one of life’s greatest gifts, reflecting how God loves us: completely, honestly, and without pretence.
We believe marriage is a holy partnership — a space to grow together, walk side by side, and support each other in becoming who God is shaping us to be. It’s intentional, purposeful, and filled with love, grace, and faith.
Marriage is a promise: to love with patience and care, to lift each other up through joy and challenge, and to keep God at the centre — choosing each other fully, every single day.
