Asher flew to America on a “business trip” to buy my dream ring. He met the jeweller’s brother on the streets of Los Angeles to collect the ring and then smuggled it back into New Zealand.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…
(Jess) Andreas and I met at our local church; we’d been attending the same church for about 6 years, since high school, but had never spoken much. We bonded over puppies when I bought a lab and we grew to love each other very quickly. Moral of the story: all good things begin with dogs.
I come from a Greek/Lebanese family and Jamie has South African heritage so when it came time to plan our wedding, we did all the things that are traditional for our families, such as a church wedding and speeches, as well as Lebanese drummers who had the whole crowd jumping, but we put our own twist on other things.

With Adam working in property and me (Karen) working in mental health it sometimes seems like an unlikely mix! But it did not take long after meeting through a mutual friend at a charity event for both of us to know that there was something really special here. So much so that our third date was in Rome!
Gabrielle: We are both doctors and we met at work five years ago. We live in a make-shift inner-city farm with our cats and chickens. In our spare time Will surfs, I practice yoga and we spend time with our incredible friends.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship… We met at work many years before we became a couple and were quickly inseparable as platonic ‘work spouses’. We still work together and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Eddie and I have been friends for what seems like a lifetime, fate just seemed to keep bringing us together. It was so obviously meant to be, we just go together.

We met while we were both working in Melbourne, and fell in love over of love of the outdoors, camping and cooking. We became best friends really quickly and within a year had traveled overseas, moved states, built a house and got engaged. It was hard to imagine life without each other.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship… We first met in a nightclub on the Gold Coast back in our uni days, we soon learned we were very different so it would be really exciting or really bad.
We met early 2010 in London on a night out with friends. Cam remembers meeting a handsome Scotsman whom he could barely understand but who charmed him none the less. We started dating but with Cam wanting to call time on London and move back home to Auckland we weren’t sure it would last, but we gave it a crack.
