Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details:

We always planned to have our wedding on the Coromandel close to where Andrew's parents live. We spend a lot of time down there at the beach and wanted the familiar, breath-taking surroundings for our big day.

Tell us how you met each other?

Josh and I met on a blind date. One of my friends was working with Josh at the time and thought we might get along well- her only disclaimer was that Josh was shorter than me. After a little bit of facebook stalking and few over-eager texts (on my part) we agreed to meet to go kayaking on lake Karapiro to see the glow-worms.

We met at work, and were always great friends before anything romantic happened.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship:

Brad & I met three years ago on a camping trip with friends and have pretty much been inseparable since then. We bonded over a deep love for nature which has now led us into a passion for plants; indoor plants (Emily) & permaculture (Brad).

We met each other 8 or so years ago, volunteering at a literary festival, and we immediately had a million things to talk about. Even our first moments together perfectly encapsulate the life that we ended up cultivating— late nights talking about art, theory, politics; days spent on long walks through Chicago, with no destination in mind; never running out of stories to share with each other, and of course, making stories of our own.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship:

Although Covid 19 was a real bummer in our plans, we decided to go ahead with it all anyway and got married on our 11th anniversary. It was actually really liberating in the end.

Oliver: I’m a stock and station agent. When we first met, Lucy was working behind the coffee machine in a cafe she had opened at the age of 22. We were both newly single, living alone, and we both owned dogs.
