Hannah + Chris by Pearce Brennan

In the first three months of being together, we both jumped on a plane to go to the snow and by the next month, we were on a plane to Bali.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…

Chris and I are super busy individuals, and we love running our businesses. However, we have an extreme passion for travelling and will try to squeeze in an international trip whenever we can. In the last 12 months, Chris and I have been on approximately 30 planes, visiting 14 destinations. We are best friends and will literally jump on a plane at any time.

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?

We had known of each other from work but officially introduced to one another at a work lunch. Funny enough Chris has a photo of me from that lunch and I had also had taken a snap of him at the same table – we were seated across from each other and both discovered these photos months down the track. It was an instant attraction on both ends.

When did you first realise that this was someone you’d like to spend the rest of your life with?

Within the first two months of dating, we were so similar that it was insane. We had very similar aspirations and the same mentality for work and life. In the first three months of being together, we both jumped on a plane to go to the snow and by the next month, we were on a plane to Bali. We were best friends very quickly.

Was there a proposal? Tell us a little about it…

Chris very romantically proposed to be on a classic wooden boat in Lake Como in Italy on our European summer trip in August. It was perfect.

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood or style of your wedding.

We went back and forth on the idea of having a wedding, but we ended up eloping and spending the week in the most magnificent house on the beach in Little Cove Noosa. I wanted simple and romantic, and I just wanted to strip everything back to the commitment of getting married. As per usual, we went to our breakfast spot on the beach, then we went and had massages the morning of, and we were down on the pier getting married by sunset.

What was one element you were happy to splurge on?

Photography, my dress and Chris’s suit.

Did anything happen on your wedding day that you laugh about in hindsight (even if it was stressful at the time)?

We were late to our own wedding because we were down the road getting facials and massages at the spa. Typical for us.

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, is there a story?

I had my dress picked out since I was a little girl, Vivienne Westwood was always my dream. Chris actually had picked out a black suit and, 2 weeks before, went for something completely different.
