Città Gift Registry

Together Journal Founder and Editor Greta Kenyon recently visited Città to pick out some of her favourite items from the latest collection that would make wonderful additions to your gift registry.

Curated gift wishlist

At their very foundation, Città believes that the things we surround ourselves with should give pleasure and have beauty beyond their function. A theory that is evident across their pieces. Everything feels very considered, timeless and quietly desirable. They have a recognised aesthetic, and they are exceptionally good at creating cohesive collections, not just in the season but from season to season. This makes them an ideal place for a wedding registry which would allow you to create a base of beautiful homewares that you know you will be able to build on for years to come.

For my curated wedding edit I was immediately drawn to the warm gold and pink tones.

Soapstone

The smooth surface of the soapstone with its tonal swirls, reminiscent of marble but with a slightly different touch and feel in hand, caught my eye immediately. I loved how these pieces look hand-made, and every object varies slightly, giving the pieces a unique and natural feel. I also love that there is a range of different pieces in this stone so you can continue the trend through your home, from tableware to shelf objects.

You can pull up the Città collection of soapstone objects and vessles on the Città website here

Glassware

I’m a fan of the Piccadilly Carafe with the set of six tumblers. I have two sets of these in my own home, in the amber colourway pictured (they also come in smoke brown, olive and clear). I have also bought the carafe and glasses as a wedding present in the past. I love how they are modern but reminiscent of seventies design. And they are very hardy and strong, great for everyday use.

Candlesticks

This elegant Stelton Ora three-branch candleholder is on my wishlist. A timeless piece that looks beautiful as a table centrepiece or sitting on a shelf in a lounge to create ambience. It’s a great way to inject a little colour onto your tabletop using coloured candles (of which Città have a beautiful tonal range). And we love how it looks doubled up too.

Lighting

The moon table lamp. Gorgeous as a bedside table lamp or as a feature lamp to create interest or more subtle lighting in living and dining rooms. Made from steel and sprayed in beautiful matte colours. The form is so simple and I love that the entire lamp is one material.

Vases and vessels

For design touches, there were several sets of vases that caught my eye. The speckled Otto vases come in various sizes and look especially good clustered; they also come in a matte glass finish without speckles if you want something a little more simple. And if you are after a bigger vessel, the Layers vase is worth considering. It feels like a modern vintage piece that you will want to pass down the family.

And last but not at all least, for more of a Scandinavian look, the Vitra Nuage ceramic vase with its thoughtful single bloom holes make it a dream for arranging fresh or dried florals and foliage.

Bed linen

Is there anything more perfect than the gift of linen for a newlywed couple? It’s such a safe bet, and Città has some wonderful options. Two of our favourites are the Sove linen in latte combined with Sove linen in Miso for a little pop of colour.

Cushions

Città is very clever when it comes to tying everything in together, and these cushions are a perfect tying in vehicle. Two of our favourites are pictured above, where you can instantly see what a difference they make to the bed setting by adding interest and using their multi-toned design to bring everything together perfectly. Pictured above we have the Cilla and the Pasture cushions.
