ELLI + HARRY by Days Made of Love - Together Journal

Tell us a little bit about yourselves:

We love travelling together – especially to Greece. It’s our happy place, hence getting married in Mykonos.

Elli was working in London and met Harry at work. We hit it off immediately and after a year decided to move to Melbourne and settle here. We currently live in Melbourne but met in London in 2013. Elli is from Melbourne originally with Greek/Japanese heritage and Harry is English.

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us about the styling and your favourite details:

For the reception we wanted a relaxed beach/boho theme but kept it very simple and let the island backdrop do the talking. For the church we kept it to an island white theme with some olive leaf for a bit of greenery. Our favourite details had to be the island itself. The backdrop was stunning – the seaside, views to the ocean and the architecture of the church.

Tell us about your main outfits:

Elli: We had one outfit each. I was adamant about having sleeves on my dress. I balanced out the exaggerated sleeves by not wearing a veil. It’s too windy in Mykonos anyway, the veil wouldn’t stand a chance! I had my hair up for the ceremony for this reason. Harry chose a tobacco coloured suit which fit the boho island vibe perfectly.

What were some of the most memorable moments from the day?

It all went so quickly! We loved the speeches. It was so special to have our closest friends and family there. We also love the Greek dancing. Always fun to do that with a big group.
