Hannah & Daniel by Simone Addison Photography

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…

Hannah is a primary school teacher and Dan works in Risk Management.
We love travelling to new places and staying active whilst being out and about with our dog Max.

Hannah and Dan are passionate about food, wine, cooking and going out to restaurants. Hannah and Dan are the perfect couple. They balance and compliment each other. Dan is the saver and Hannah is the spender. Dan is the calm and Hannah is a bit more out there.

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details…

For styling we went for earthy colours with a modern twist. I wanted lots of florals and it to be quite detailed. I left a lot of it in the hands of the girls at Olive and Ivy and they were amazing.
Our ceremony was a mix between Catholic and Celebrant (my friend MCd and was also celebrant, we said the Catholic vows as well as our own). My family is not Catholic and Dan’s was so we found the balance in the middle.
Our special day was set at Millbrook winery which is a beautiful winery set in a valley with bush and kangaroos all around it. They grow their own food onsite which makes it unique.

Tell us about your main outfits:

Dan more a suit by Politix menswear and Hannah wore a gown by Martina Liana Bridal from Tuscany Bridal paired with pink mules from Senso.
Hannah loved the lace detail in her dress. Hannah isn’t much of a sparkly kind of girl so her dress was perfect for her style- a bit vintage/boho.

What were some of the most memorable/unique moments from the day?

It was the weekend everything shut before Covid so it was sort of the last big party for a while. Everyone partied pretty hard, got on the dance floor and made the most of it so it was blessing in disguise (not that it felt like it at the time). Dan and Hannah really appreciated everyone’s speeches as they were so well done and had everyone laughing. Walking down the aisle was pretty special too.

Any advice for other couples planning to spend the rest of their lives together?

It’s going to be a great day regardless and don’t sweat the small stuff. With all the changes happening with covid it made them realise that the weather, songs, dj etc weren’t really that important. Being there with your friends and family to celebrate each other is what really matters in the end.
Laugh a lot, have fun!
