Hera Couture Celebrates

Fifteen remarkable years.

Last week, we had the privilege of celebrating the fifteen-year anniversary of Hera Couture, one of New Zealand’s most exceptional bridal success stories. What began as a local atelier has evolved into a globally recognised fashion house, admired for its artistry, innovation and unwavering commitment to excellence. Hera continues to redefine what a New Zealand brand can achieve on the international stage. Their team had just returned from a triumphant NYBFW presentation, still radiant with the acclaim and momentum generated by their latest collection, which captivated editors, buyers and tastemakers alike.

Founded by designer Katie Yeung and her husband Cliff, Hera Couture is the result of fifteen years of tireless dedication. Their journey proves that no matter where you are in the world, exceptional talent, quality and vision can carry you onto the international stage. Hera gowns are beloved for their craftsmanship, distinctive design edge, and feeling of quiet, considered luxury. It is no wonder they are adored by brides across the globe.

To honour the milestone, Katie gathered brides from across the years for a daytime photoshoot, inviting them to step back into their gowns and relive treasured memories. It was a heartfelt celebration of not only Katie’s journey, but also the unique stories of so many women who chose Hera for their most meaningful moments.

Then, in the evening, within the refined surroundings of the Britomart Hotel Libraries, Katie hosted a cocktail celebration and a commanding runway presentation showcasing the latest Hera Lumiere pieces. The atmosphere was nothing short of cinematic, a convergence of glamour, international polish and unmistakable Hera magic. It felt iconic, the kind of night that will be remembered as a defining moment in the brand’s continued rise.

The who’s who of the bridal world came together to celebrate with Katie: editors, designers, jewellers, planners, stylists and long-time supporters who have walked beside her throughout the years. Hera Couture has always been generous in uplifting its peers, and this was reflected in the warmth and admiration that filled the room. It was a beautiful milestone marked with grace and sophistication.

Together Journal will always hold a special place in our hearts for Katie and Hera Couture. They were one of our very first partners, and Katie has featured in every single issue since our beginning. Her loyalty, creativity, and unwavering belief in this industry have inspired us more than she knows.

Thank you, Katie, and congratulations to Hera Couture on fifteen remarkable years. Here is to many more.
