Can you share the inspiration behind the GILD collection and how it reflects your brand’s aesthetic?
The GILD collection was born out of my love for truly unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. I wanted to create styles that felt incredibly special. Some are bold, some more feminine, and each is not for everyone, but I wanted to create a group of pieces for the JP woman who is looking for something extra special.
What sets the GILD collection apart from other ready-to-ship jewellery collections available to couples today?
We have a few categories of jewellery that are worth diving into. The GILD collection is made up of truly singular pieces: One-of-a-kind beauties for engagement and beyond. The JP brand has become known for several signature styles. The GILD Made to Measure collection is made up of these signature styles. Each GILD MTM piece has stone options so it allows the client to select their preferred stone with the JP signature setting. The ready-to-ship collections are each handmade and, therefore, still very special by the nature of their creation.
Could you describe the process of creating pieces for the GILD collection? What materials do you primarily use, and are there any special techniques you can share?
Each JP piece is handcrafted in our Charleston, SC studio by our team of women. We work closely with our trusted suppliers to source ethical, one-of-a-kind stones. Our collection pieces are all created in solid recycled 14kt gold in an effort to minimize our environmental impact. Due to the handmade nature of each piece, our perfectly imperfect signature look shines through each and every time, making each ring truly one of a kind.
How does the GILD collection cater specifically to engaged couples looking for unique and timeless pieces?
With the option of both our signature and singular GILD designs, JP couples are truly able to select a ring that speaks to them and their story. The collection features more timeless and classic modern heirlooms alongside unique statement pieces, joining together to create a selection that speaks to each person. We also work with clients to create fully custom engagement and wedding pieces if they’re dreaming up something that they don’t see in our GILD collection.
What advice would you give to couples when selecting pieces from the GILD collection to complement their wedding attire and personal style?
We always tell clients that everything regarding wedding stacks and styles is up to their own personal interpretation. Some clients love a statement piece that stands on its own, while others love a full JP wedding stack. We also love helping brides update their existing stack by adding in some fun, modern bands. Just the addition of one or two bands can change the whole look of their stack. We’d encourage anyone browsing the GILD collection to truly lean into what speaks to them. Whether that’s a more classic setting, a coloured diamond, or something completely unique, this is a special purchase that we want them to fall in love with day after day.
Can you tell us about any standout pieces in the GILD collection that really embody the collection and process or those that have been particularly popular with engaged couples and why?
One of our favourite aspects of the GILD collection is that no piece is created twice. Even our signature styles differ in their perfectly imperfect details due to their handmade nature. We love that no matter what ring our client selects, it will forever be one-of-a-kind. This month we’ve added some new singular pieces to the collection that we are so excited to share. These new styles feature mixed metals, unique diamonds, and modern settings that we can’t get enough of.
What other special pieces or collections for Jane Pope Jewelry are coming in August?
In August, we’re releasing 13 new GILD pieces that are each so beautiful and unique. We’re also sharing some stunning new studs and a zinger of a necklace that would all make the most special wedding day gifts.
Can you tell us the process of working with couples based in different locations, either across the USA or other countries?
We absolutely love working with couples all over the world. Our customer relations team helps clients find their perfect JP piece, whether that be from the GILD collection or a custom creation. We’re there every step of the way to make such an exciting process seamless. Of course, we love having clients visit for private studio visits and collection viewings, but we are also able to send photos, videos, and assistance to clients all over the world via email.
