A cooler kind of bridal appointment for Australasian brides.
Fresh from an intimate Auckland open day and with a Sydney residency on the very near horizon, LVR Bridal is entering an exciting new chapter. The cult New Zealand label continues to evolve its Hand in Hand collection with quiet confidence, offering a modern bridal wardrobe shaped by versatility, individuality and an unmistakably fashion-led point of view.
LVR’s recent Open Day offered a rare glimpse inside the world of one of New Zealand’s most design-conscious bridal brands. Held within the label’s monthly residency space at Meadowlark, the afternoon invited brides into a more relaxed and informal setting to experience the latest additions to the evolving Hand in Hand collection, while gaining a sense of the thoughtful, highly personalised process that underpins every LVR appointment.

There was an ease to the afternoon that felt entirely in step with the brand itself. Brides at every stage of planning moved through fittings, styling conversations and new discoveries over a glass of bubbles, trying on fresh silhouettes and discussing everything from ceremony looks to the events that frame the wedding weekend. It was a chance to engage with the collection up close, to explore styling possibilities and layering options, and to understand how LVR works collaboratively with each bride to shape a look that feels deeply personal.
Those newest additions to Hand in Hand signal an exciting continuation of the collection’s slow and intentional evolution. Guided by an ongoing dialogue with their brides, founders Jacque Shaw and Lauren Kay Hooper are continuing to explore texture, modularity and refined styling pieces that allow each look to be built, reworked and reimagined throughout a celebration.

The collection has never been driven by traditional bridal references. Instead, its cues come from fashion itself. There is an emphasis on exceptional fabrics, quietly directional silhouettes, and carefully considered details that speak to women with a strong sense of self. Additional layering pieces and versatile styling elements reflect a broader shift in bridal, where adaptability and individuality are increasingly prized over convention. It is bridal dressing designed to move with the rhythm of the day, allowing brides to add, remove and reinvent elements as the celebration unfolds.
This weekend, that distinctly New Zealand perspective heads across the Tasman, with a selection of Hand in Hand pieces travelling to Sydney for appointments hosted by Hope & Page. The response has been immediate, with appointments being booked quickly, signalling strong interest from Australian brides eager to experience the collection in person.

For one weekend only, Sydney brides will have the rare opportunity to try on LVR without making the trip across the ditch. For a boutique New Zealand label, that kind of international enthusiasm feels significant and speaks to the universal appeal of the brand’s refined aesthetic.
Founded by friends Jacque Shaw and Lauren Kay Hooper, LVR Bridal has become one of New Zealand’s most quietly influential names in modern bridal. What began as a desire to offer something different has evolved into a deeply focused and personal design practice centred entirely around their own creations.

Today, every LVR gown is thoughtfully designed in-house with confidence, simplicity and self-expression at its core. The romance of bridal remains, but never at the expense of identity. That philosophy also extends beyond the dress itself, with LVR styling weddings and events to create fully cohesive celebrations imbued with the label’s unmistakable signature.
As Hand in Hand continues to evolve and its reach expands offshore, LVR is proving that the future of bridal is less about tradition and more about intention, individuality and impeccable design.

Bookings are also open for the next New Zealand residency hosted at the beautiful Meadowlark Jewellery space on June 21st. You can book HERE.
