NYBFW Nardos SS/2027

A decade of craft, revisited and reimagined.

Ten years into its bridal journey, NARDOS marked the milestone with a presentation that felt both reflective and forward-looking. Held in the storied surroundings of the Rainbow Room, the evening combined a retrospective of archival gowns with the unveiling of the house’s Spring 2027 bridal collection. The result was less a traditional runway and more an immersive tribute to the artistry that has defined the label since its founding by Nardos Iman.

Over the past decade, the brand has built a reputation for sculptural silhouettes, meticulous couture techniques, and embellishment that feels refined rather than excessive. Those hallmarks were evident throughout the new collection, where structure and softness met in carefully balanced compositions. Corsetry remained a central element, shaping gowns with architectural precision while fluid draping softened the overall effect. Dimensional florals appeared across several designs, adding depth and movement to silhouettes that felt both timeless and distinctly modern.

The setting itself reinforced the sense of occasion. Alongside the new collection, a curated display of archival gowns traced the evolution of the house, allowing guests to see how signature techniques have developed over time. It was a reminder that the brand’s aesthetic has always been grounded in craftsmanship first, with each piece shaped through an almost sculptural approach to fabric.

Perhaps the most memorable moment of the evening came not from the runway but from the atelier in action. During a live draping demonstration titled The Art of the Creation, Iman constructed a gown directly on a model before the audience, offering an unusually intimate glimpse into the creative process behind the label’s designs. Watching a garment take shape in real time underscored the technical mastery that sits at the heart of the brand’s identity.

Among the standout looks was Hanami, a strapless lace gown inspired by the delicate beauty of cherry blossoms. The design balanced intricacy with softness, featuring fine beading that caught the light gently across the lace surface. The skirt carried an ethereal sense of volume, allowing the gown to move with a quiet fluidity that echoed the fleeting grace of falling blossoms.

Another notable design, Euria, explored dimension through layering. An extended pearl overlay was adorned with hand-applied floral motifs, each element placed to create texture and depth across the silhouette. The result was a gown that felt both tactile and luminous, reflecting the house’s ability to transform embellishment into something sculptural.

Taken together, the collection reaffirmed the vision that has guided NARDOS since its beginnings. By combining technical precision with emotional resonance, the brand continues to position bridalwear not simply as fashion, but as a form of artistry. As the house moves into its next decade, the message felt clear: craftsmanship remains its most powerful language.
