Ocean escape is a shoot inspired by the romantic and timeless story of dropping everything and running away to the ocean with your lover.
With elegant modern gowns from Jesus Piero, and the classical suit styling of Crane Brothers, we wanted to bring a fresh sense of class and cool to this free spirited tale…
Our beautiful pair jumped into a ‘69 Impala and headed out through the country and out to the windswept dunes of Muriwai Beach. Leaving Auckland city behind, the day was full of champagne picnics, romantic windy road drives and care free good times just dancing on the beach.
To set the scene, we choose 60s inspired dresses and bold, fun accessories. The veil with bow and lacey gloves were custom made by HAUTE for the shoot. It’s the fun and personal accessory details that can really complete a look. A simple and elegant bouquet from Floral Stylist was chosen to add to the casual, hop in the car and go for it, nature of the idea.
The goal of the shoot was to convey a sense of pure joy and romance, and that is exactly what the day felt like. Here’s to more lovers letting loose, following their dreams and exploring in style together.
