We were in the Cotswolds with our dog on a beautiful sunny day, walking through an orchard when camera-shy Gordon insisted on a selfie, then got down on one knee.

It was something both of us were quite sure of pretty quickly, we got along so perfectly and often people would comment we were made that we were perfect for each other.

He proposed under a beautiful waterfall, and honestly, I was so swept away in the moment I could hardly make out a sentence. But the word “yes” definitely left my mouth straight away, even before he got on one knee!

After one longer trip, we came back home, but at that time, we were still living separately, and that felt not right – we realized that being close to each other made us much happier than living alone.

Shelby, not wanting to jump to conclusions, convinces herself it’s an early birthday surprise when all of a sudden, Matt asks to read something to her.

It was one of those dates where we went from one bar to the second, and planned our second date while still on the first.

We both felt there wasn’t much we couldn’t tackle together, and we made a darn great team.

I was just looking at her, and the sun was shining in a certain way, and I remember I was feeling what I was feeling, and I realised, oh, that must be it.

The chopper stopped with a view and we got out, Matt got down on one knee and proposed here, he was shaking with nerves but his words were so special and it truly was the best moment ever.
