When they arrived, a waiter took them to a wine room, which, to Jordyn’s surprise, had been decorated in photos of every year she and Tom had spent together, with Tom waiting in the corner under a string of fairy lights. She was ecstatic.

Maddy planned to surprise Brett for his birthday with a night at EOS as he had always wanted to go… Little did she know that Brett had planned to propose.

We were both shy but quickly realized we had the same quirky sense of humour and love for cats.

I knew that this selfless and generous person made me feel calm, happy and safe and that I didn’t want to be without her.

In all seriousness, though, everything felt easy with Jordon and how a relationship should be. We are always there for each other and can always make each other laugh, even on the bad days.

Simon also remembers this trip as a key time in their relationship, it was the ease at which both our lives were able to combine and become one.

There’s something so special about finding a best friend in someone, someone you can be vulnerable, ridiculous, frank and raw with.

We were in our own world from the start and knew it would be the beginning of a grand love story.

There was not a defining moment as such for both of us, but there was never a time either of us could imagine being without the other.
