Tash + Conor by Hannah Redman Images

I had a colour scheme from the beginning that then everything fell around into these were dusty pink, white, navy blue, rose gold and gold. Glamorous old mirrors were used as the table arrangements. I took a lot of inspiration I think like every bride from Pinterest and combined each element to match my personality.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…

Hi I’m Natasha, I am the Bride. I am a marketing manager for an information technology company, i am a creative individual who loves to create unique campaigns to help companies grow. My Husband Conor is also a creative, he is a VFX artist for Alt Effects, he creates visual effects for movies and advertisements. We both love everything retro, fashion, 80s music and gaming – our shared interests is something that drew us to each other in the first place

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?

We met at a university party and instantly clicked; we shared all the same interests to the point that friends pointed out how identical we were in every way.

When did you first realise that this was someone, you’d like to spend the rest of your life with?

Conor and I first met at a university party, we instantly clicked and shared every interest together. Anyone that interacted with the both of us made the comment of how similar we were, it was fate.

We both were the party animals and liked to carry conversation, we chatted about our love of all things retro, gaming and music. Conor’s sisters even mentioned in their wedding speech how Conor was always worried he wouldn’t find a girl with the same interests as him, but then we just clicked and didn’t share just one but all interests together. Now we are attached at the hip known as the CASH (Conor and Tash) pair, we are always side by side and truly are best friends as well as partners

Was there a proposal? Tell us a little about it…

Conor is a romantic, in year 10 he went on a school trip to lamington park, and right there he knew he would propose to his future wife there on top of a waterfall. He set up fairy lights along the trees and blindfolded her so when she opened her eyes, she was met by the song can’t help falling in love by Elvis Presley, with a bouquet of roses (because Natasha’s middle name is rose) and it couldn’t of been an easier yes. This song then was the song then Natasha walked down the aisle to on their wedding day

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood or style of your wedding…

I wanted elements from both Boho and Glamorous. As an everyday person I am infamous for being glamourous at any event and time of day, so I wanted my wedding to reflect that. I wanted it more florally with elements of boho – I was in love with the look of pampas grass and dried palm tree lives to give the glamour a more modern spin on the arrangements. I had a colour scheme from the beginning that then everything fell around into these were dusty pink, white, navy blue, rose gold and gold. Glamorous old mirrors were used as the table arrangements. I took a lot of inspiration I think like every bride from Pinterest and combined each element to match my personality.

What was one element you were happy to splurge on?

The Dress, Every girl dreams of what their dress is going to be. I had an envision ever since i was a child i would be in a mermaid gown when i went to White lily boutique i fell in love with an LA designer

It was the one element I had no budget for, I wanted to feel special and I’m so glad i splurged.

The other element was the makeup artist and hairdresser – i went for an artist that was more expensive but at the end of the day they are the 2 things that matter, how you look and the dress – the rest can come into place.

Did anything happen on your wedding day that you laugh about in hindsight (even if it was stressful at the time)?

Our Celebrant got stuck in Sydney on the day of our wedding with plane delays we were let known 4 hours before the wedding, thankfully we had a backup but even on the day itself i was laughing because of course that was another thing to go wrong.

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, is there a story?

As mentioned within my element of splurge, I had an envision ever since i was a child i would be in a mermaid gown when i went to White lily boutique i fell in love with an LA designer. This dress matched the glamourous yet modern feel i wanted for my day, it was something that felt made for me and i knew that was the dress for me.

Connors suit was a velvet suit with velvet shoes to match. Conor is a lover of all things retro and wanted his suit to be timeless, he always knew he wanted a black suede suit to give him this effect along with the cassette player tape cufflinks I gifted him on our very first year of being together.
