A Little ’90s Attitude: Inside MWL Bride’s With Love Collection
There’s a certain confidence to ’90s fashion that feels particularly appealing in bridal right now. The clean lines, the attitude, the simplicity of a beautiful silhouette that doesn’t need much else. It’s this spirit that Australian bridal house MWL Bride and The Bridal Journey, founded by Andie Towner, have tapped into for With Love, a collaborative collection that brings a little runway nostalgia to the wedding wardrobe.

The collection made its New York debut during Bridal Fashion Week with an intimate preview at Fellini Cafe in the West Village. Rather than a traditional runway presentation, guests gathered for cocktails, music and canapés as models moved through the space wearing the designs. It was a fitting introduction to a collection intended to be lived in, with pieces made as much for dancing and celebrating as they are for walking down the aisle.

At its heart, With Love is about having options. Five fashion-forward silhouettes are accompanied by five complementary accessories, including veils and scarves, with interchangeable elements that invite a more personal approach to bridal dressing. It’s a considered response to the way weddings have evolved, with celebrations often extending across several days and brides wanting a wardrobe that feels cohesive without being repetitive.

The individual designs have their own personalities. Teddy, cut from vintage duchess satin, brings a more commanding presence, while Sammy introduces the crisp structure of vintage taffeta and a distinct sense of ’90s runway attitude. Then there are Bowie, Noa and Towner, which take a particularly clever approach to versatility. With the option of a long skirt for the ceremony and a mini for the afterparty, the silhouette can shift as the celebration unfolds. It’s a lovely idea, especially for brides who want the excitement of a second look without committing to an entirely separate outfit.

What makes this collaboration especially interesting is where the ideas originated. For Andie Towner, whose platform The Bridal Journey reaches a community of more than 375,000 brides and industry insiders, the starting point wasn’t simply a seasonal fashion direction. It was years of conversations with women about the pieces they loved, the details they were searching for and the things they felt were missing from bridal collections. With Love is the platform’s first collaboration with a wedding dress brand, bringing that direct connection with brides into the design process.

The result feels less like a collection of individual wedding dresses and more like an invitation to play with personal style. A scarf changes the mood, a shorter skirt introduces a different energy, and the same beautifully considered pieces can accompany several moments of a celebration.
Perhaps that’s the most appealing thing about With Love. It understands that a bride doesn’t necessarily want to look or feel the same way all day. And really, why should she?
The collection launched on 26 October 2026 in MWL Bride’s flagship boutiques across Australia, the UK and Europe, with selected international retailers following in November.
