Alexis + Clara by AH Lovestories

We envisioned our wedding as something warm, elegant, and intimate.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…

I’m Clara, an actress and model, and I also work in jewelry with Whitebird Jewelry. Alexis is the founder of a creative studio called Tyrsa, known for its distinctive visual identity and craftsmanship. His work has collaborated with brands such as Nike, Louis Vuitton, The New York Times, and Cartier, blending typography, design, and emotion in timeless ways. We’re both very visual and curious people, passionate about art, design, and the beauty of things made with care and intention. We love travelling, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and discovering new places, flavours, and cultures. What connects us deeply is our shared curiosity and our desire to live meaningfully, surrounded by our loved ones and guided by creativity, openness, and gratitude.

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?

We met through Instagram and started exchanging some texts. We first met on a Friday afternoon in December 2019 at Le Moulin de la Vierge, place des petits pères in the 1st district of Paris.

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood and style of your wedding. (theme, key styling elements, florals, colour palettes etc.).

We envisioned our wedding as something warm, elegant, and intimate, more like a relaxed weekend surrounded by the people we love than a formal event. We were inspired by the natural beauty of the Perche region, with its rolling landscapes and quiet charm, and we wanted the design to reflect that effortless simplicity. The colour palette was soft and earthy, with touches of beige, ivory, sage, and subtle terracotta tones that blended beautifully with the surroundings. The atmosphere we imagined was timeless and serene, combining rustic authenticity with refined, thoughtful details. Together with Alix from Les Dîners Perchés, we created a space that felt cozy, natural, and deeply personal, a true reflection of who we are as a couple.

What styling and visual elements worked best for you? (could be things, the florals, particular hire products or your marquee, etc., something the stylist created or simply just the scenic beauty of your location or the existing design of your venue).

The venue, Le Val Gaudry, was such an essential part of the aesthetic. Its old stone architecture, peaceful gardens, and surrounding orchard created a setting that already felt complete in its natural beauty. We wanted to honour that, focusing on enhancing the environment rather than transforming it. Armand, our florist, designed floral arrangements that felt delicate and organic, blending effortlessly into the landscape. The soft lighting, elegant tables, and careful attention to small details brought a sense of warmth and understated elegance. Everything unfolded with a natural flow, nothing forced or excessive, and that quiet simplicity was ultimately what made the atmosphere feel so special and true to us.

What did you enjoy most about the planning process, and do you have any tips for couples starting their wedding planning journey?

The planning process was both exciting and intense. We wanted every detail to feel personal and meaningful, so we were very involved in every aspect, from choosing the location to designing the menu and creating a warm atmosphere for our guests.

One of the biggest challenges was finding the right balance between organisation and letting things feel natural and effortless. We wanted our wedding to feel intimate and welcoming, almost like hosting friends and family at home. That’s why we focused on details like a generous and thoughtful menu, cozy decor, and a relaxed schedule that allowed everyone to fully enjoy the moment.

The only slightly stressful moment was the night before the wedding, when we were finalising the seating plan with friends and family. Other than that, we didn’t feel stressed on the big day because everything had been so well organised in advance, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy the moment.

Tell us about your vendors. Were there any standout suppliers you would like to make special mention of?

Merci beaucoup, Ana, who witnessed our love, our union, one of the most precious moments of our lives.

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, and is there a story?

For the ceremony, I wore a Vivienne Westwood wedding dress, a piece I had dreamed of for years. It felt both sculptural and fluid, timeless yet modern, and truly represented me. I loved how it combined elegance with a touch of character and individuality. Alexis wore a Ralph Lauren suit that was beautifully tailored, classic, and effortlessly sophisticated. His look perfectly balanced mine, creating harmony between us. Later in the evening, I changed into a vintage Courrèges wedding dress that I had worn once before for a photo shoot and completely fell in love with. I ended up buying it from them afterwards. It was light, playful, and full of character, perfect for dancing and celebrating late into the night.

Tell us about your wedding and engagement rings.

My engagement ring is a timeless piece that I absolutely cherish, simple, elegant, and full of meaning. Our wedding bands were designed with my jewellery friend, designer Sarah Appleton. Mine is minimal and delicate, while Alexis’s has a slightly more graphic and structured design. They represent our individuality and how our worlds complement one another. We both love objects that carry intention and meaning, and our rings feel like the perfect reflection of that shared value.

What were one or two elements that were most important to you both that you were happy to spend a little more on? (food, photography, florals, the venue, your outfits?).

Food and photography were the two elements that mattered most to us. We collaborated closely with Thomas and Agathe from Ripailles to create menus that felt generous, seasonal, and full of flavour, from the cocktail reception to the abundant brunch the next day. We wanted our guests to feel spoiled and truly at home. Photography was equally important. We wanted someone who could capture emotions, atmosphere, and those in-between moments authentically. Ana did this with incredible sensitivity and artistry; her work feels honest and timeless, and it captured exactly what the weekend meant to us.

Was there a favourite moment (or two) that you will treasure always?

The ceremony will stay with us forever. It took place under an arch created by my mother’s best friend, Jean-Yves, and adorned with delicate flowers by Armand. Standing there, surrounded by nature and the people we love most, was one of the most emotional and grounding moments of our lives. Another memory we hold close is Alexis’s proposal in Japan, on the island of Naoshima, facing the sea. It was just the two of us, a quiet and spiritual moment suspended in time, one that still feels vivid and magical to this day.
