A natural and intimate styled shoot inspired by real life couple, Frederica & Juan. Showcasing a celebration of their love and beautiful relationship journey as well as a reflection of balance between landscapes, movement and romance.
Federica is from Italy and Juan Colombia. They met in Australia while Juan was on a one-year visa, but after falling in love they have both set up their lives together in Australia. They keep in touch with their families by video and stumble their way through the language barriers to keep connected, which is important to them both.
This styled shoot celebrates the changing nature of weddings, showcasing to others that elopements can be wherever you choose and still be stylish and beautiful. The location in Mornington Peninsula was chosen specifically for its wild and vast backdrop and the ceremony and tablescape styled to suit the surroundings and to look like something you could have stumbled across.
The colour palette for styling is muted with pops of floral that work perfectly with the amazing sunset. As the sun set, the ocean and cliffs were bathed in golden light and the ceremony space and florals lit up in the most beautiful hue.
The suit is custom made and fabrics chosen to work back with the earthy tones of the landscape and textiles in the styling. The dress has an effortless romantic feel to it, but also a modern element to represent the effortlessly cool nature of elopements today.
