Flora as Art

Together Journal magazine produces a flora and photography art collaboration each issue where we celebrate our partner florists and the endless grace of flora and nature through the lens.

The art of photography has allowed us to capture and hold onto these exquisite arrangements for longer, to study the depth and texture of velvety orchids, soft chiffon-like blossoms and dewy seasonal blooms.

Flora as Art is a collaboration between Floral Stylist, Isadia and Greta Kenyon of Together Journal, and the exhibition is now on at Little Rosies Gallery Space, 82 Gladstone Road, Parnell, Auckland 1011. Open 6:30 am until 3 pm seven days a week. You can also shop the unframed prints here.

About the Photographer

All works are photographed by Greta Kenyon, the founder and editor of Together Journal magazine. Greta launched Together Journal, an international magazine designed to celebrate weddings and occasions seven years ago. Greta edits the magazine and photographs key lifestyle editorials like the Flora As Art series.

About Floral Stylist:

Sue Cameron of Floral Stylist Co. is one of the most sought-after florists in Aotearoa. Her unique and attention-grabbing flora style can often be recognised at a glance. Influenced by the seasons, nature, colour, and the many local growers she works with, Sue is never short of inspiration. Her clever arrangements and installations often incorporate elements of flora and fauna that contrast with the blooms, adding structure and texture whilst anchoring her bold use of colour. Sue produced the Golden Orchids, Pink Velvet Orchids and Botanic Blue arrangements.

About Isadia:

Guided by nature and intuition, Isabel Johnston and Lydia Reusser, the two creatives behind Isadia, strive to harness the unique charm found in each season. They then use this as their core inspiration to create exquisite, unstructured arrangements, installations and bouquets. The beauty of these creations is fleeting, which adds to the allure, and leaves us with a melancholic longing for more. With sustainability at the heart of their business, all blooms and foliage are sourced from a community of small local growers, with the odd element foraged in season. Isadia produced the Tan Orchids and Mauve Mood arrangements.
