I’ve never been the kind of girl with wedding Pinterest boards and visions nailed long before I needed to plan a wedding. I had a vision of vintage meets modern glam.

Bailey —— I’m originally from a small town in Missouri but post-grad moved to Texas and have lived here for almost three years. I currently work as a director of a bible church and teach yoga on the side.

Grayson —— I was born and raised in Texas and currently work as a minister. We love people, anything that involves being active and travelling.

Bailey —— I first saw Grayson at a coffee shop in October 2021 while passing through a small town we were both visiting. I thought he looked familiar and was incredibly attractive. A few days later I realised we had mutual friends. I followed Grayson on Instagram and although he followed me back, it took a month before he asked me out. I thought Grayson was dynamic, compassionate, strong, unapologetically himself and loved his people and God. He was, and is, hands down the coolest person I know!

Grayson —— After drinking coffee and sharing our lives for a few hours, I was “in” on Bailey. I had never interacted with someone as strongly as her. The first thing I did afterwards was to call my mother and say I’d met the one. I proposed in June 2022. It was so hot in Texas that I arranged to propose at a beautiful art museum. I’d made friends with the security guard and we arrived five minutes before the museum closed. The security guard allowed us to walk into the museum. I was so nervous but somehow I managed to ask her.

I love colour, the fun of disco balls, and eclectic florals, but also wanted to incorporate elements that would stand the test of time. I kept the ceremony primarily white to represent purity and beauty and then brought in colour with the guests. We were happy to splurge on both our photographer and videographer. We wanted to work with people who created timeless images and film and captured the day as it was, as well as all the moments we missed during the day.

My dress was such a unique and fun find. I visited multiple dress shops and once I picked it I never turned back. I always wanted something different with a clean look that would be unique among the sea of dresses. It was timeless, comfortable (so I could dance, which was very important), and unlike any wedding dress I had seen. Grayson chose a more traditional black tux with a velvet bow tie to match my shoes. My favourite part of Grayson’s look was the replica of his grandfather’s ring that we used the diamonds from.
