We actually met when we were in sixth form at school and went out with each other for a few months. We always stayed in touch with each other until we rekindled years later.
We have been together for 7 years and have a dog called Hugo. He is our baby and we love just being with him. Carrick is a huge Spurs fan and also a fan of watching any and every sport. He also loves to play squash and golf. Jess loves walking and exercising, especially boxing. We are building a house which has been very stressful and we are both glad to be nearing the end, but Jess loves all things house and interior and can spend hours on Pinterest.
Not long after we moved into our first house and got our dog. We both have always supported each other and worked well together, so it wasn’t long.
Carrick proposed the night before building works started on our house. It was a Sunday evening and it was so chilled and lovely, among the orchard trees in our garden. It completely took me by surprise, I had absolutely no idea Carrick was planning it.
We both knew we wanted a wedding abroad and Italy seemed like the perfect destination for us. I (Jess) knew I didn’t really want a single colour scheme, and instead wanted more complimentary neutrals, we also both knew we wanted a small ceremony with just our nearest and dearest. So from that, we found the amazing Dimora Delle Balze and it all came together from there!
I think the venue. We knew our venue would provide an amazing backdrop regardless of how many flowers or additional decorations we added to enhance it. The venue and the views really made it exceptional.
Nothing stressful but i (Jess) was pregnant at the time and only the two of us knew, so pretending to drink etc was funny.
We got the suits from Reiss, they are 100% linen which was perfect for abroad and they were really nice quality. The bridesmaid dresses came from Asos bridesmaid range and the colour was perfect. My wedding dress came from Grace Loves Lace, I wanted something I could wear all day and night so suitable for the ceremony and dancing and I think my dress was perfect for that.
