I designed this editorial shoot around the stunning Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic of the Fig House at Middleton Lodge, blending both modern and traditional elements to create a timeless yet fashion-forward feel. The venue’s sun-drenched tones and rustic textures set the perfect backdrop for a shoot that nods to the charm of the Med, while still appealing to contemporary tastes.
To bring this vision to life, I incorporated unexpected but thoughtful details — think strings of pearls, bundles of garlic, and richly patterned linens — all giving the shoot a distinctive modern Mediterranean edge. For the bridal fashion, we exclusively used designs by Savannah Miller. Her gowns are beautifully cut with clean lines and modern silhouettes, ideal for the contemporary bride who still wants a sense of softness and romance.
Cakes were crafted by the incredibly talented Where the Ribbon Ends, who created two stunning designs to reflect the dual themes of tradition and modernity. Their long, feasting-style cake was a particular standout — a bold and on-trend statement piece that’s sure to be a must-have for 2025 weddings.
Floral design was a key part of the concept, with layered, statement ceremony arrangements creating depth and impact. On the tables, I opted for a minimalist approach — simple hydrangea bowls, mixed-height candles, personalised menus, and patterned napkins kept things fresh, elegant, and effortlessly modern.
