Sanam & Rhys by Arianna Leggiero

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…

Sanam and I have been together for just over 10 years. We rarely fight, everything is always just easy!

We just love being together and enjoying life together. After just building a house together were looking forward to the next chapter in our lives. We live in Melbourne and I’m a Graphic Designer and Sanam works in Media Sales.

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details…

We got married in Kathmandu, Nepal, where Sanam is originally from. On top of all the family and friends from Nepal, we had close to 50 friends and relatives travel from all over the world to a)end. The Hotel we stayed in was a former palace which was a big hit with the international guests. The wedding was a 2 day event with the ceremony taking place on the first day followed by the reception on the second day. The wedding/reception venue was fantastic and it was great to see so many people from different parts of the world all coming together and having a great 6me! Sanam and her family worked tirelessly leading up to the wedding. Everything came together extremely well

Tell us about your main outfits:

I had a suit made before the wedding from local tailor. Sanam’s dress looked amazing! ….

What were some of the most memorable/unique moments from the day?

Arriving at the venue on the first day in a Janti procession. I think a lot of the locals were a bit shocked to see so many foreigners dancing and proceeding to a wedding with a marching band! Also the band on the second day was a big hit with all the guests. There was also a shoey by an Australian attendee followed by the band playing ACDC Highway to Hell.

Any advice for other couples planning to spend the rest of their lives together?

There’s no hurry, get married when you are ready. Just enjoy life together.
