Take inspiration for your destination wedding in this dreamy shoot that features breathtaking views and a romantic escape to the greek caldera – Santorini.
It has always been a dream for Sophie Alexandria to shoot in Santorini. In order to show off the kind of work she would love to create for her future clients, Sophie decided to make it all happen and organised this styled shoot in the beautiful island of Santorini.
The main inspiration for the shoot was for it to look luxurious, modern, romantic, and above all, for everything to feel real when looking back at the images.
Preparations started at the hotel then everyone headed to a close-by local church where the couple was captured saying their vows and having their first dance on top of the chapel.
Afterward, a vintage car took everyone on a tour to all the best unknown photo spots. Oia is the sunset hotspot for tourists in Santorini, so Sophie knew to avoid this area. However, having really wanted some photographs of the white buildings as the sun set, everyone headed to Imerovigli. Thankfully, by then, the place was completely empty so the shoot was completed with some greek white buildings before heading back for the candlelit platter feast under the stars!
“Ioana and Josh are already married which made the shoot feel so honest. They adore each other. They were so grateful to be able to relive an elopement-like experience, just the two of them. They said the whole day felt like a dream, an unforgettable experience; that’s the experience I want my couples to have. We all had the most magical time,” says Sophie as she reminisces on how the styled shoot went for everyone.
