A Modern Old-World Romance

For this shoot, we wanted to create a romantic wedding story with a sense of old-world charm, while keeping it timeless and personal.

The beautiful character of the venue was a big part of the inspiration. We wanted to showcase the different spaces and let the setting really be part of the story, taking the couple from the elegant interiors to the surrounding outdoors. The historic details, warm timber, beautiful artwork and the natural landscape all worked together to create a feeling that was romantic, intimate and a little cinematic.

We chose a rich, warm colour palette with deep burgundy, reds, ivory and subtle gold details. The overall styling was designed to feel elegant, but never too formal or overdone.

Having a real couple at the centre of the shoot was really important to us. Rather than creating something that felt like a styled scene, we wanted the images to capture genuine moments between two people who are actually in love. Their connection brought a natural warmth to the shoot and made the story feel much more real.

We wanted the final images to feel like they could belong to a wedding from another era, while still feeling relevant today – romantic, slightly moody and timeless, with the venue and the couple at the heart of it.
