Both Josh and I (Philippa) are based in Christchurch where we both grew up and have our own home – I’m in marketing and Josh is a lawyer.

We loved having such an intimate guest list as it meant being able to spend quality time with loved ones, without the pressure that comes with a big ceremony.

Sam and I have been together for almost 7 years now. Sam works as a doctor and I work in Policy at a Ministry.
Our wedding day was very different to what we originally planned, due to the pandemic. We had dreamed of getting married overseas on my mum and dad’s 40th wedding anniversary so that we could share their special date, but restrictions meant we had to change our plans.

We met briefly through a mutual friend when Ed was visiting Wellington one weekend. We didn’t speak or meet again until several years later…on day 1 of the university semester when we found each other in the foyer – it was a Chick Flick moment! Although our concentration on our classes wasn’t the best that semester, the romance bloomed and we’ve been inseparable ever since.
Leon and I found ourselves in some pretty unforgettable situations last year, as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic. Like hundreds of thousands of others around the world, our year didn’t exactly go to plan. Little did we know that we would get stuck in Thailand, sleep on an airport floor for a week and end up being stranded in Australia for three months!

Sam is a small business owner (builder) since 2019, and I am studying chiropractic in Auckland. We love being amongst nature- especially mount Ruapehu, and LOVE LOVE LOVE our fur babies- Sika and Leia.
Getting married is so much more than a piece of paper. It’s an indescribable feeling knowing that you’re lucky enough to spend the rest of your days with your best friend.
We live in Christchurch, New Zealand. Alex runs his own plastering business and I’m a cardiac sonographer. We’re happiest going on adventures with our two dogs, Arlo and Jacko. Alex and I originally planned to have a traditional ceremony in Christchurch, but it just didn’t feel right for some reason.
Mana is a local Tairāwhiti boy and I’m an Auckland import with Motutapu Island roots. I’m a physiotherapist and Mana is a lawyer. We met after swiping right on Bumble. Our first date took place at Gisborne Wine Centre, and we joked that Mana would buy me a ring. We both left that night and texted our parents to tell them that we had found our future partner. It was love at first sight.
Our day was just a dream. I don’t recall any stressful moments, or anything going haywire. I do remember having a good laugh about 2 minutes before walking down the aisle because my mum wanted to re-iron her dress.
We’ve been together for eight years and live in a warehouse conversion full of colour, chaos and our cat Lulu.
