Met in a bar at 4 am. Widowed a year earlier, and never thought of dating again. Friends urged me to meet a guy, but I was sceptical. A year later we were engaged, and on our second anniversary, we were married. It’s amazing how life turns out, despite what you may have planned.
Funnily enough, we went to the same high school and were in the same grade. Never spoke to each other though. We ended up going to the same University and had a mutual friend who liked to hang out with both of us, so our friendship and later relationship blossomed from there.
Sam and I met at uni – we were both studying Communication Design at RMIT in Melbourne. I was in my first year; Sam was in his third.
We adore a chic New York City wedding. Especially one with hip details like a contemporary cake from Magnolia bakery and iconic YSL heart glasses.
Being in the wedding industry myself, I was quite overwhelmed at the start. No one tells you that it’s so much harder planning your own wedding than it is planning a client’s! But I knew I wanted something light and colourful despite our wedding being booked for Autumn.
Callum is a Captain on the Saab 340 for a small regional airline and Raquel is a flight attendant at a mainline airline. We both love traveling to different countries and working hard to save for the next big trip. We also share a love for animals in particular our adopted cat Cleo.
Danni — We’re high school sweethearts so we had been together for nearly 10 years when we got married. I’m a photographer and Lucas works for a law firm and is studying law. We are major homebodies and love spending time with each other, our families, dogs and our one-year-old daughter, Romee.
I realised when I got back to Australia that I wanted to keep in touch with him. I couldn’t stop thinking about his smile and the connection we had. Eventually, we decided to meet up 5 months after our one-off meeting in Bali. Now 8 years later we’re married.
I remember seeing her and thinking, “Wow, she is so beautiful”. We ended up spending time together during the shifts we shared, talking about video games and movies we liked.
For both of us, we weren’t looking for anything serious, but soon realised after a few trips tovisit each other, we wanted to spend as much time together as possible. As we both becamemore serious in our careers, love and life, it was clear to both of uswe were a great team,and we wanted to be there for each other through it all, forever

We’re both Kiwis; Brooke’s from the Hawkes Bay, and I’m from Levin. We both work in the Tech sector – Brooke’s in Human Resources, and I’m in Marketing.
