The live weather forecast was closing in, I honestly didn’t even think we would get any pictures that weren’t in front of the fireplace indoors. Well, the rain didn’t really arrive. In fact we had sunshine, guests outside, incredible weather!
We wanted everything to be captured in a timeless and romantic setting to reflect the whole mood of our day. We also have a 2-year-old, so it was important for us to do that with a photographer and videographer so that we can look back on it with her one day.
We always knew we wanted our wedding to have a fun, relaxed vibe. We didn’t have a bridal party, no first dance or any of that. It was a short meaningful ceremony, followed by a party with our nearest and dearest.
I knew she was the one a long time ago. We share the same outlook, and our time together is always about fun, laughter, and happiness.
We met over five years ago and hit it off straight away. Regan said in his vows that he knew I was the one when we had our first date — he pulled up next to me in the car, flipped me the bird and I laughed.
We wanted it to be classic, a bit glamorous and warm in atmosphere. Neither of us wanted to worry about weather in the lead up, and we both have older family members who we wanted to be comfortable on the day, so when we looked at the Convent in Daylesford, it ticked every box.
We had an Autumn wedding so we went for intimate, romantic vibes. We initially liked the idea of eloping but our friends and family definitely weren’t keen on that! We had only 40 guests and no bridal party and the entire day was perfect. We got our elopement moment when we flew to Lake Lochnagar and Twin Peaks via heli after the ceremony.

JC: We are a couple of NZers who live in London – where we have been riding out the pandemic and trying our hand at all sorts of failed craft projects. I am a public sector consultant (boring I know) and I love food, literally any sport, and books.
For six months that year we dated in secret, until one drunken night at a favourite club in Melbourne, we kissed in front of our friends who in the background yelled YEAAHHHH, FINALLY!Â

Cody is an Engineer, loves the outdoors and his drink of choice is always an icy cold XXXX, and I’m a Social Media Manager with a slight obsession for fashion and always searching for the next epic holiday destination. We are both really close with our families, one of the things we bonded over early in our relationship. Â
