Set on a farm with endless breathtaking views of the Hauraki Gulf, this romantic, modern, and visually stunning styled shoot was held on an alternatively stormy and sunny winter’s day at idyllic Kauri Bay Boomrock.
Like many brides, Belle of Belle Cooper Photography says that she is beyond obsessed with pink, which is the main color inspiration for this styled shoot. After a season of trending white and green florals, Belle was finally keen to do something with a bold, fun injection of colour.
Along with Stacey of Wild Blooms, the duo decided on a floral colour palette which consisted of juicy rich reds and pinks with touches of crisp white amongst luscious greenery, (roses especially imported from Columbia), setting the scene with a vibrant look!
Lisa from With Love by Lisa dreamt up the sophisticated tablescape vision, coming to life in the form of timeless white and gold, complimenting the chic red and pink tones, with elegant glassware and simple bud vases.
The models for this styled shoot were Courtney and her husband Matt, who were all loved up after only recently getting married themselves.
Courtney shared a bit of their story saying, “Matt and I met at the boxing day 2018 races. We got along well however, we both were seeing other people at the time. Fast forward a few weeks into mid-Jan we both saw each other in town and were immediately drawn to each other (as friends). One night, when we were in town together, we were sitting together chatting and Matt had this really cheeky smile on his face. I asked him why he was looking at me like that and he leaned in and kissed me… Bearing in mind, we were just friends so I was caught off guard! I kind of sat there for a minute and thought to myself “Oh god, here we go”. From that point on, things moved SUPER fast and we fell in love quite quickly, we knew we would spend the rest of our lives together.
Fast forward to 12th September 2020 when Matt popped the question. He planned a day trip for us to go back to where it all started for us at Omaha Beach. He planned a cute little picnic and a photographer to capture the moment it happened. He was so nervous that when I said yes he replied “Really?” as if he didn’t know I would say yes and tripped over when he was getting up to give me a hug. But it was so so special, I am so glad he organised a photographer, as we will treasure those memories forever and show our future family.”
