Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do, what makes your brand special?
I am all about being your best true self, no rules or external pressure, just straight self love and confidence!
My mission with every bride that walks through the door is to empower them to embrace their style, on their own terms! Moving into a space of the ‘anti-bride’ I have found my passion again for designing things that push boundaries. I love being able to offer a bespoke service, so we can go as luxurious or as alternative as we want! I also stock some of Australia and NZ’s best, as of lately taking on Trish Peng for the chic, elegant bride to All Who Wander for the romantic, boho babe!
How did you get started in the wedding industry?
I actually fell into the industry at around eighteen, after completing a photography campaign that I also did the model’s makeup for, for a new bridal boutique opening in the Gold Coast. I then helped this brand here and there, and fell in love with the industry, working full time building the brand!
Fast forward to 2021, I hadn’t been working for a few years after a car accident left me with a disability and I wasn’t ready to settle with not being able to return to the industry.
With more passion and empathy than before, I set off to open an inclusive, safe space around my own limitations and to help others in similar positions!
What is your number one recommendation for brides who are choosing a wedding gown?
Don’t let anyone make you feel pressured! Sometimes deadlines may seem near impossible, but I promise there will always be a dress for you to feel like an absolute babe of a bride in!! Stay open-minded, and go with your gut (even if your great, great aunty says otherwise).
What inspires you?
Seeing people shine. I often still see brides come in for the first time, shoulders rolled forward with hesitation in their body. Once I get to show them how passionate I am about their experience, let alone the dresses, the physical change is everything to me! Of course I LOVE to see them in an être marié gown. Though if I at least get to give them the confidence back to be their loudest truest self, I am SO stoked to be the number one hype girl!!
Any exciting plans for the future that you would like to share?
2024 is a huge year! April brings One Fine Day where we will be at our first interstate expo. This is where we will officially be launching our in house label- Luna Delilah Bride! I cannot wait to see my boldest designs shine on a runway with some of Australia’s best!
Then in September, I am joining the other 2024 brides with my own wedding! It wouldn’t be a Georgia wedding without some extra touches! So I can’t wait to be able to share this journey with you all and then offer some epic designs after the big day!
