Kate + Hamish by Alpine Image Co

Introducing Late + Hamish and those dreamy pastel bridesmaids…

Kate — We first met at Hamish’s best mate’s house. We were having a few drinks with friends one
summer night back in 2014, and we all ended up crashing at Sam’s.

Although we had drunkenly met that night, we really only remembered each other from the next day, so I feel that’s the moment we first properly met. I thought Hamish was the nicest guy ever and just so cute. I loved him as soon as I met him.

Hamish — We’ve both worked in the alcohol industry for most of our relationship and have been referred to as the ‘booze couple’ because of it. Not surprisingly, we both love a couple of drinks with friends & family, and we enjoy getting out for a round on the golf course together. Travel has always been a big part of our lives. We moved to London the first year we met and lived there for a couple of years, travelling around Europe. I think everyone thought we were a bit crazy, but it all worked out, and here we are now.

Kate — I always wanted a beautiful dramatic landscape for our wedding, with as much of it outside under the skies as we could. I wanted to keep it reasonably classic, with elements of fun. I was so nervous about having different coloured bridesmaid dresses but I am so glad I did, as it really helped add another element of fun and character to the wedding, and the photos just looked beautiful. The whole day was perfect and amazing. We loved every minute of it.

The only near miss was that we flew Fred, our golden retriever baby, down with us, and nearly forgot to include him in our family photo! We had to get someone to run back to the venue to get him. Luckily, we managed to sneak in a few pictures with him. They’re our favourite photos

Hamish — For my outfit, I went with a classic black tuxedo. Graig at Working Style was a legend to deal with and was even happy to adjust the waist on the pants a few days out from the wedding, as I had overindulged over the Christmas break. I made a rookie mistake at the ceremony. I hugged the first couple of guests that arrived, but I hadn’t noticed that the next busload of people had arrived at the same time, and they’d started to form an orderly queue… I ended up hugging all 130 guests as they got off the busses. I was pretty hot and flustered by the time I arrived at the altar!
